I just replaced my battery yesterday. It was only about 13 months old. Hopefully I just started with a crappy battery. We'll see. It was a panasonic but that doesn't mean much. It could've been old stock or fake or whatever. I'm hoping for more from this replacement.

That's the same basic design as the one I recommended at the beginning of this post. Your picture is nice. The filter is either coming off or it'll rip in half. I ended with the former and can't imagine the latter except in bad dreams.

I think the estimate that I started at was 5.7 qts. but I got 6 in with the change to the slightly bigger filter. I took my time and added the last bit slowly. It is sitting right at the top of the hash marks and I'm happy.

For me, I would guess-timate future oil changes at about 30 minutes. Dropping and replacing that shield takes a little time. This first one with the lack of the proper tool and the stuff that entailed ran me into hours. But that's me and I'm slow...

Good on you. I absolutely couldn't get it until I upgraded to that little Hyper Tough puller. It cranked right down on spun it. I'll take a bit of the blame as the truck was not warmed before the attempt. Sometimes heat is your friend in these cases.
