So here we are, five miles from officially getting 600 miles per tank on the hybrid with a little left in the tank…. Anyone else approaching 600 miles per tank? ( yes I realize driving style and conditions vary, but hey…it’s still great mileage)

Maybe I can get 600 miles out of this tank if I take it easy, ha. Mine is showing 49 mpg, this is only local driving, no road trips yet. So looks like it could go to about 680 on a tank but I won’t try that because it might run out. We are very happy with this truck. Congratulations and enjoy yours and be safe.

Those would be some good numbers if you can finish that tank off.
I haven't got an official 600mpt yet. But I am getting the mpg enough to qualify for a 600. I have gotten 800mpt out of my Jetta TDI. I have gotten 1000mpt out of my 2018 f150 ECO 3.5 10sp. So I should be able to get 700mpt out of the Mav.

Here's what I purpose..to even up the mpg(which is really easy to cheat for short trips or down hill). I am going to start recording what ratio of electric miles per total miles per trip or tank.
This might be key because remember..electric miles expends no fuel usage..

Tell me what ya think...

I have an XLT that i picked up three weeks ago from Portsmouth Ford in New Hampshire. I would recommend them all day long.
I love my truck, so far, with just under 3,000 miles. currently I'm on target for about 650 miles on this tank. The gauge is saying I will go 688 so lets see what happens. I live on Cape Cod where the roads are smallish and there are lots of gentle up and down roads. I do cost a bit.
I know these roads very well and know where there will be stop signs and the usual slow-downs so i drive accordingly . I usually have about 300 pounds of tools and supplies in the bed. Although i trend to use the smaller slower roads I have driven the highway at speeds up to 70 on this tank, but there are a lot of bored cops around here so its never a good idea to push it.
While driving about 25 miles in Nova Scotia over Easter i did record 63.4 MPG on a main road that also happened to be hilly. Ya gotta use the hills to recharge and use the breaks wisely. I do not use premium fuel but i have my tires inflated to 40psi. I don't like using ECO mode because it slows me down too much while costing and pisses off the driver behind me.
One last comment: I am a carpenter and bought a load extender that fits in the 2" receiver making the bed 9'4". I had a Tacoma prior to this and would never go back. This truck is perfect for most of what I do. anything long will be delivered if needed.
Drive Happy :)

Just missed the 600mi to E.

Guage was fairly accurate. 47.2mpg by hand calculation. Only the 5th time I've filled it up in 2815 miles.

I'm not sure I could hit 700 without actively driving only set routes and nothing else.

One thing with the maverick is I tend to take the shortest way where before I would sometimes take the longer route with freeway driving included. With the mpg on streets, I tend to stick to streets.

I hear you, i stay on back roads avoid the highways. 700mpt is tough, I am going to miss this tank after 2 consecutive 700mpt. The county tarred the county road so I had to do highway, bummer.

It is very quiet, after massive sound dampning, next mod will be wheel wells with heavy material. I get road noise from tires.

I'm on track for a little over 600 miles on my first tank. Wish I had been more vigilant the first couple hundred miles, but there's tens of thousands more miles for me to improve on my efficiency.

I'm gonna miss 600 this tank as I did a lot of trailer driving yesterday. My average was 45mpg and now down to 42mpg with only 270mte. But this was my morning. So great miles are possible with a little patience and skill. Easy acceleration from a stop is the key. You want to keep it in electric as much as possible from the jump.

Keep it going, its tough but can be done, heck look at the alternative, we could be paying $4.50gal for fuel.
