2 weeks ago at 9PM I got a msg: "Vehicle in battery saver mode, drive vehicle to charge battery" (was only idle for 12 hours). Went out next morning and it wouldn't start. Jump started it and it ran fine until yesterday when I started it, the center screen was dark. After about a minute the screen came on and went dim, then bright. I turned everything off I could think of heater, driving lights etc and drove it 10 miles home with no problem but now I don't trust it. It doesn't sound like the recall dealing with remote start which mine doesn't have. This being a weekend, I will call dealer tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light on what this might be. Thanks in advance.

That sucks. I'm curious is it a 2024 and what type battery, AGM? How long have you had it? I got mine in July of 2024, have like 4800 miles and have been lucky so far. Wondering if that'll run out.

2024 2.0 XLT. Original battery, Bought August 2024. Really like the vehicle so I'm hoping this is a fluke.

I hope it's a fluke also. Mine is also a 2024 XLT, ordered in April, received it in July. Could be just a bad battery. Keep us updated if they find anything

I definitely recommend getting your battery tested...you could have a bad cell.

But is original battery an AGM?

Supposed to be, doesn't mean it is.

I was also getting that same message recently. But the truck starts fine every time. I know I don't drive it enough (got it in March of 2023 and just recently passed 7000 miles). After getting the message for the fourth or fifth time, I placed a trickle charger on the battery overnight once and haven't gotten the message again. Maybe I'll do that once a month or every other month.

This is really getting f——————, ridiculous! Battery and truck is not even a year old and even with AGM bats we are having problems! Got mine July 24 after special order and waiting only 4 months, so not bad in that aspect I guess! I’ve had that battery saver mode lots of times. I agree with all of you that say it’s B.S. that not even a year old and we have to put our batteries on a damn charger! Ford, WAKE UP!!! Pricks! Can you tell I’m pissed off! 😡

Isnt there an open recall for the battery drain issue? Or is that only on the hybrids?

I got mine on July 27th, 2024 and it came with an AGM battery and luckily so far I've had no issues. I have only 4,800 mi on it and we've had very cold weather. I mean there were days where we had below zero weather for 3-4 days in a row with temperatures as low as like 17 below. And there have been no deep sleep issues or interior lights not coming on. So I have been lucky but I'm wondering if it'll rear it's ugly head one day soon.

I'm having a similar problem with my '24 hybrid, 5,200 miles picked up in July '24. After the second no-start I replaced the battery with an AGM type and that one was "dead" in two days. I put the original fully charged battery back in so the dealer wouldn't blame me for anything.

In my case I do not believe it is a battery problem. Yesterday it wouldn't start even with the jump starter device I have (Nexpow), but then a few hours later it did start.

I have an appointment scheduled for February 4th. If it dies again before then I'll be calling for emergency roadside service through FordPass. This is really disappointing. I'm leery of going anywhere.

I posted a similar thread a few days ago.

I don't it's a battery problem with mine either because the headlights were just as bright and it started right up with a simple jump start. ( no charging). Will contact dealer today.

This will not stop. Something is draining your battery when it is idle. There's a real problem with this as the computer never charges the battery all the way to 100% only 80%. I've had this happen 4 times but it happens within 5 minutes after I park my truck. This is crazy and Ford will not address this problem.
