Over the weekend I tried my windshield washers and found that the driver's side wiper only cleaned a 2" arc at about eye level. It simply wasn't touching the glass anywhere else. Examining the wiper I found it to be a one-piece molded unit, rubber over what seems to be a steel spine, that was different than any I had any experience with. I took the truck to the service department at Robert Horne Ford this morning and the technician simply bent the wiper straight and tested it repeatedly until it cleared the entire length of the wiper over the arc. The wipers have a quick-release mount which appears to be different than any standard wiper mount I've ever seen. These may be Ford-only items for a while.
