Not to dredge up an old thread, but I had to drop the hybrid off at the dealer again today.
Went to fuel up the other day and the gas door wouldnt open. Apparently fuel tank vent quit working so the door wont open if there is still pressure in the system.
I also am getting deep sleep messages almost everyday, and the radio keeps turning on randomly with the car off and the key out.
Of couse the service writer informs me that I am now outside of the bumper to bumper and I will be responsible for a $170 diagnose fee for each of these problems.
Hows that for a kick in the teeth.
Add these things to all the previous issues I have had, & All I can say is
P.O.S!
Why would you have not SOLD it by now................? I picked up my 2022 hybrid XLT on Dec 23, 2021 and have 41k miles and LOVE mine...yes, had a few recalls, as nearly ALL new models experience...1 other emission light came on that ford ponied up for.

SELL IT....SELL IT....SELL IT. If I was that unhappy, ANY vehicle would be down the road. You can sell it for pretty much EXACTLY what you paid for it, or even a little more to Carvana, vroom or another site. They just offered me 27040 for my 2022 xlt hybrid with 41k on the clock...as I have a NEW 2024 on order.

I DID buy the Granger ford extended warranty for 655 for 5 years/75k miles 100 deductible...and HOPE YOU DID AS WELL...or it's your own fault as you have been complaining about this maverick for so long now.

Obviously should have sold this thing by now and made a profit.

It is possible for some to own a Tesla but not be a fanboy or a fan of Musk. I despise Musk. I own a Tesla.
Yes it is not only possible but it is highly likely. Musk has no interest or desires or even cares if he is liked or not. He is a devoted KISS (KeepItSimpleStupid) believer. On his Mars Rocket to save weight and increase payload he told troops to eliminate the landing legs and to catch the rocket with the arms of the launch tower. Yes it could cost millions to repair possible damage but being a committee of one he can decide to just do it and show the door to anyone that's not on board. He is basically in "Get to Mars before volcanoes, meteors, or mankind destroys life" mode. Buy his biography $22-$23 Amazon.

Jim Farley was just talking about this recently - why it takes so long for legacy automakers to release software updates. it's because they work with so many different vendors and have to coordinate between them all to fix issues
Elon cured the vendor problem by building items in house.
