I disagree with your belief of what the "norm" is in this situation, but rest assured that I'm not simply drawing conclusions from this one message board. I'm using my own personal experiences with my truck combined with all of the other testimonies (both good and bad) that others have shared across various mediums and sites across the internet. Do I expect absolute perfection, down to the smallest detail?... of course not. But, I do expect Ford QA and QC to do a better job.I believe that the “lucky ones “ ARE the norm. It would be a disservice and disrespectful to an OP with an issue if everyone who doesn’t have the issue posted.
A central aspect of EVERY online forum is that people with an issue are sharing the problem or seeking a path to a solution. I use forums frequently to make decisions and solve problems.
But, be careful about drawing conclusions about frequency within a population (all maverick owners) from a flawed sample (owners documenting issues on a posting board)
Peace out
