If someone already has not mentioned it, I shall. This is where Ford's 2025 360 cams would have come in handy. We have it on our Hyundai Palisade and it gives you an overhead view of your surroundings as you maneuver in and out of tight spaces. Should be standard on every vehicle.

You cannot control all circumstances, but you can control some. I taught defensive driving many years ago. Back then, it was stressed that when you chose to park, consider a location that does not require the use of reverse when you leave. As safety guy said in an earlier post, you may have to park further away from where you are going!!! You may also find a parking spot where pulling out straight is possible.

I do know that only using the reverse camera image to back out from between two vehicles parked closely to your vehicle is not good. The image does not show those vehicles at a certain point when you back up but can still hit them.

My 2024 Lariat Ecoboost’s reverse system has been flawless. Warns me well before I’m so close I need to actually look.
