Hopefully somebody will get an email today...
No kidding. Ford is messing with us again today...

I contacted Ford Customer Service and as of 12:27pm CT, I'm a no-go on getting scheduled for today. Maybe someone else will have better luck!

Just talked to Ford, not scheduled yet. She did tell me that ford is advising customers to remove luxury packages completely if they want their orders faster.

Wow, nobody? - I'd personally fall out of my chair, if I received an email, being a November order, but can't rule it out, as it seems almost like playing roulette, waiting for the wheel to stop.

Since we get winter, I want the Lux Package on my Lariat, with CP360.

just chatted with Ford. Still processing.

Talked to dealer and I have a VIN!

Didn't get the scheduling date and looks like my order was confirmed on 7/26/21 even though I ordered 7/23/21.

So you are scheduled? Believe you cannot have a VIN without being scheduled.. So Ford corporate was wrong?

Such a load of crap. Wait 7 months then told if you want your truck, take off all the things you wanted when you ordered it. Uggggg

Did i read the so called SPAM email correctly that the next message will be when your Maverick goes into production? Is it possible that they do not intend to send scheduling email’s any longer?

I have seen this mentioned a few times here and I don't understand. How would anyone think telling the dealer to give you $2k so they can keep a truck that still belongs to them will result in anything other than them laughing their asses off as they watch you walk out the door.

Your only real option is buy the truck and resell it so they can't make the markup on it.
Dealers are often sketchy, but one thing they mostly have in common is that they like to make $. You buy the maverick from them, they make $2500 (or whatever). If you refuse to take possesion, they can take it, mark it up, and make a profit of $10,000.

This proposal: They pay you $2000, sell it at the aforementioned mark-up, and net $8,000.

$8,000 > $2,500

Most business people would go for that deal.

Because I know a guy that had that happen to him last week. He had an EB arrive and he already had a hybrid. They offered him 2K to let them have it and they would mark it up 10K. So yeah, telling the dealer that can get you 2K ..... for now or you could buy it and sell it for 5K over no problem.

Plus, then you don't have to go through the hassle of registering, paying taxes, etc. $2k for zero work.

You read it wrong. It says they'll let you know when it's scheduled.

I am scheduled also with a build date of May 9. I had to call Ford because I don’t get emails for some reason.

Ford chat told me this,

"I appreciate your patience; it looks like your Ford Maverick is in Order Processing. The order has been entered into the Ford Ordering System.

Production is due to begin on May-02-2022.

A VIN is available at this time.

(my actual vin.....)

For general status updates, you do have our online tracking system available:

I'll take it.
