As several people commented on that forum, it just doesn't look like a Scout.

I never expected it to look like the originals.

I do like the gas "range extender" finally being offered in a smaller/midsize truck.

Just like the small gas generator setup in the BYD Shark or the 2025 Ram 1500 EV (with gas range extender).

Best of both worlds with EV performance, but gas backup has no worries about range anxiety.

Starting at $60k for the Scout Terra truck...no rush to make a reservation.
I do like the design/looks.
As others have said, reminds me of a Rivian R1T.

Will keep my 2022 Maverick Hybrid XL until closer to 100k mileage and see what's available then.

My neighbor an attorney here in Columbia was highly involved in selling VW on building the plant here. I told him at the Christmas party last year it would flop and he agreed due to pricing. Maybe VW will move production from their Audi EV plant they are closing in Belgium.

I like the front of it. It definitely gives off Scout vibes. If it was $35k and a hybrid or ICE vehicle, I'd be very interested.

I like the design of the suv, I think
it actually is reminiscence of the original Scout. Wonder if it drives like a tank also lol. Not really feeling the truck, boxier version of the Rivian.

I put a refundable $100 deposit down this afternoon, Traveler w/range extender. I can switch it to the Terra if I want. We'll see if I actually pull the trigger in 2027...
