Thanks for that link. I was wondering how VW ended up with the Scout name. I missed that VW acquired Navistar. I believe the old Scout had IH tractor engines in some configurations.yep maybe it will survive to be real years from now, then again based on other vehicle cancellations etc, it could be dead on arrival at any point and time. Makes me no difference, I'll never be in the market for one. Must say though, the old school scouts were well regarded.

I think BW is talking plant closures in Germany but they're building this in South Carolina at a new plantI'm very dubious it will be successful. Right now VW is announcing the need for plant closures in the EU. VW group has a history of misreading the US market for the last 40 years. The full size market is very crowded. I see Scout falling flat, but I'd be delighted to be proven wrong.
