Think Toyota has it right. For now hybrids are the way to go. Get more miles out of a gallon of gas.No range anxiety. As we know from the hybrid Mav. Or to get real futuristic , draw power from the road itself.

Aside from the front end that looks a bit like the ugly blunt nose Durangos back in the day, I really like the look. It looks better than the Silverado EV because like already mentioned, it looks close to the actual one. People by an F150 Lightning because they want an electrified F150. If it looks like something else, then it isn't an F150. Same reason why Ford needs to drop the Mustang name from the Mach-E. I was pissed when I saw one in person because I was expecting an electric Mustang, not a Model Y with a Mustang badge on it.

I've been calling it an electric Escape.

Ironic that they're making an ad about 'premature electrification' teasing how they're going to have a range extender, but then there's the small print:
lol....right? On the surface, it's a clever, humorous ad. But the underlying hypocrisy is a bit much.

I know, we're not supposed to think that deeply.....:censored:

It's not bad looking, an EV is just not my thing though. I'd still like to drive one to see what they're like, the instant torque must be wonderful and all, but to me something like this just seems soulless by comparison to what I've grown old driving. I mean there's nothing like the growl of an engine and the sensation of gear changes -- it gives the feeling of it being alive, not an appliance.

Well you can add Ram to your list as the RAM is actually PHEV and not a full on EV. Not saying that it's a bad thing.

Ram is doing electrification differently by combining battery power and an internal combustion range extender to curb range anxiety. The truck maker's Super Bowl ad reiterates this, proving that Ram is really banking on that piece of kit to be its difference maker.

Thanks I was a bit confused by that. I read about it after. Think still for electric but a small engine to charge the battery.
