  1. Winter Wheels And Tires - What's Your Setup?

Michelin X-Ice on a set of almost new XL steelies (previous owner said that they had 38 miles on the wheels when he "upgraded" to some ugly alloys). My spring/summer/autumn tires are Michelin CrossClimate 3s on the OE alloys.
  2. Ford/SnugTop Bed Cap Wiring Harness Questions

Hello - so I scored a screaming deal on an OE Ford/SungTop bed cap, but the seller didn't want to part with the CHMSL/dome light wiring from his truck. This afternoon I stopped by a truck cap dealer and picked up a Leer 300200 7-way harness, which they claimed as compatible with the...
  3. Open For Comments on NO ISSUE Mavericks

Thanks! That was phase one of moving halfway across the country. My fuel economy was horrendous at times.
  4. Open For Comments on NO ISSUE Mavericks

One year and 9700 miles of ownership and zero issues. Well, other than the recalls. Great little truck! Related. My wife has a '21 Bronco Sport Outer Banks. The only warranty issue at three years and 33k miles was some peeling chrome on the drivers window switch. Replaced under warranty.
  5. Best Fuel economy on a hybrid

Ah, good to know. Thank you.
  6. Best Fuel economy on a hybrid

I should have added that the "change oil soon" minder came on during the trip. Only had about 3400 miles since the previous oil change. Guess all that time running at high RPM was actually considered in by the computer.
  7. Best Fuel economy on a hybrid

How about a worst mileage? After the first ≈6000 miles where I averaged a solid 39.0 MPG (calculated via the Fuelly app), my fuel economy took a nosedive on parts of a long, loaded trip across half the continent: A little context here. The Mav had two kayaks (12 & 13' long) and a Yakima cargo...
  8. Mabett | Hood Deflector with 3 Yellow Lights – Pre-order Now! 🔥

Why the clearance lamps? The Mav is not over 80" wide and large enough to run amber clearance lighting in that position.
  9. Your Other Rides!?

Not including my bicycles (where I rack up most of my annual miles)... 2001 Honda S2000 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144, that I converted into a camper van 1980 Kawasaki KZ440B 2009 BMW G650GS My wife drives a '21 Bronco Sport Outer Banks.
  10. 2026 Scout Pickup & SUV shapes both revealed

I put a refundable $100 deposit down this afternoon, Traveler w/range extender. I can switch it to the Terra if I want. We'll see if I actually pull the trigger in 2027...
  11. Yakima JetStream + Baseline racks & 1Up Super Duty single hitch rack installed

12'10" here. Wife has the slightly shorter 12' version of the same Delta kayak. And I do use cockpit covers the vast majority of the time.
  12. Does Rotary Shifter suck?

Zero issues here - and my wife has a Bronco Sport that uses the same style. I much prefer it to what's found in an F-150 or such. Heck, I'd prefer a column shifter to a "T-handle." The only thing I wish the Mavericks and Bronco Sports had were paddle shifters in order to quickly downshift for...
  13. Dudd

One of my bikes, a 1 of 1 Marin Pine Mountain Ti. More on the bike here: https://www.bikeperfect.com/features/marin-creates-a-stunning-one-of-a-kind-rebuild-of-its-classic-90s-pine-mountain-mtb
  14. My Dealership has my ordered Mav listed on their website already.

Yep, I think it's SOP with Ford and their dealers. Mine was certainly listed on my dealer's site when it hit the lot, but it wasn't really available for purchase by anyone as I was not letting it go.
  15. Yakima JetStream + Baseline racks & 1Up Super Duty single hitch rack installed

The trash can should be fine - magnetic closures, so no real wear items. Plus it's not something I use very often. Bet it lasts as long as I have the truck.
  16. Yakima JetStream + Baseline racks & 1Up Super Duty single hitch rack installed

And a FITS-mount trash bin arrived this week. Pretty slick. Amazon is my retailer of last resort, but where else would one fine such quality, uh, ISSYAUTO products? Of course it is now currently unavailable, but maybe it'll come back at some point.
  17. Yakima JetStream + Baseline racks & 1Up Super Duty single hitch rack installed

Got my Maverick all racked up today, the roof racks and Yakima JayLows (pictured in their folded state) to tote some Delta kayaks, and the 1Up to carry a multitude of bikes. Love that the 1Up has adjustability in how deep in the receiver it is mounted, as when it is in the shallowest setting...
