Good luck with the charging. Per the experts the electric grid can not handle the charging of electric cars with AC during the summer and electric heat in the winter. My self I will stay with gas until it runs out but that will not be in my life time. Electric has gone up 30% in my area of the country. I have not seen the cost to charge a battery. If you are on the road and you stop at a hotel and they have 3 or 4 chargers and they are all plugged up what do you do for a charge. It is not like chargers are on every corner.

I am 100% solar powered, with enough reserve capacity to power an EV so not a concern for me.

You are completely correct about the grid, TODAY. But that will change. If we magically converted all cars to electric tomorrow, yep that would be a disaster. But it's also not possible. It will take 10 years or so and be a gradual change so why worry about it. Chargers will get added as the demand rises. That is already happening. Lots of places chargers sat unused for years and now have lines. The companies that own those chargers are rapidly adding both more chargers and faster ones. That is what happens in a market economy.

And over the road or long trips is only one use case. I never travel more than 100 - 150 miles in any direction so charging on the road is not even an issue, FOR ME. I will charge at home and if I ever need to go on a long trip I still have a hybrid Maverick .

Me too. The hybrid Maverick will cover us on any trips I don't feel comfortable using an EV. My wife's next vehicle will be electric. Might be '24 or '25, as soon as she sees something she likes to replace her Toyota Highlander.

Who cares about an EV I sure NEVER want one,. Plus the website has no information . Is there going to be a hybrid if not who cares.
