I hope the wheels are just there to hide a nice brake package before they are officially revealed.

I’m really surprised no one recognizes those wheels as a mass consumer knockoff of the turbo fans on the award-winning SEMA Maverick. I really like them, thinking about what they were trying to mimic.

The frontend is an uncohesive mess. If Ford is lacking ideas, they really need to tap into the student bodies of design schools. They should be ashamed of this result.
Now this is what the front end of the 2025 Maverick should be! They need to drop the Golf Cart look.

We got a great look at another Ford Maverick prototype, currently suspected to be the new Lobo package trademarked by Ford. This particular Maverick shows off an all-new vertically-slatted grille, flanked by the new headlights that are part of the Maverick’s mid-cycle facelift.

Once again, we see a new front bumper design, with newly integrated fog lights. We see more body-colored trim—all painted gloss black here—but the bed rails are still in unpainted black plastic on particular prototype. Our earlier look at this particular Maverick configuration captured a blue prototype, with matching blue-painted bed rails.

I'm SO happy I purchased a 2023 Maverick! All around I'm not impressed by this "New Look". I don't want to get thrown off this page for what I REALLY THINK!!!!

Yuck. Ford design, please up your game. Why would I ever trade in my '22 for THIS?

This will buried in the many comments, but... that grille!

Ford design has had years to do this and that's what they come up with? Looks so much like another second thought patch job. Too many committees involved. That headlight totally looks like it was designed for a different vehicle and the molded facia was used to fill in the gaps.
So unfortunate.

I love the whole look of this truck, front end definitely looks cool and the wheels are awesome as well. Ford just needs to reveal this thing already! Definitely curious what they're going to call it too, whether its the "Lobo" or the "ST", either way, definitely going to get one to compliment my 2023 XL Eco
Loco? Fugly? Semi retro (disco)?

is this new look across the entire line of Ford trucks or did they just decide to bastardize the Lariat Maverick ?

We all need to get our sketching apps out and start sketching things to put on the new fascia. A mustache. Eyeballs. Maybe snot dripping down. The possibilities are endless.

Do they make 6 inch googlie eys ???

Just as bad as the blue one. The black does hide some of it more. Those wheels though...

What are they thinking!?

I'm hoping someone at the company is reading the feedback for this and will make some last minute changes before officially unveiling the finished product.

Safe to say, hardly anybody likes the new front fascia, the wheels, the headlights or the new screen. They should've either left it alone or changed very little. Just update to Sync 4 in the current screen so we can keep the physical buttons and add foglights and call it a day. That's all it needed in my eyes.

P.S., bring back the keypad! I miss it!
In 100% agreement with you on all of this, I'd just add fog lights at least as an option.

This isn't the 'real' Lariat appearance, but a particular option package; ST/Lobo/whatever. So the comments hating the grille and wheels are a little overblown.

The regular Lariat supposedly will look like this:
