Stop it. It is not a safety problem.

Count me as someone with a 2025 with no issues related to Deep Sleep. I live in the North. It sits for days. It's going to sit for 5 days when I go to Chicago this weekend and it'll be fine.
Walking into a dark parking lot and trying to the keyfob to open the vehicle only to find out no external or internal lighting is on, is a safety issue. I never said ALL 2025 models are affected. I simply brought up that they are certainly not immune from the problem.

It's the charging system alright. I bought one of those Uplus AGM batteries last Oct and in the last 5 weeks I've had several deep sleep notifications only to find the truck's battery totally dead the next day! Multimeter shows 5.32v. Not going to bother contacting Uplus people, as I've heard you'll have to jump through hoops to get a partial refund. Gonna have to get a replacemnt H4 AGM battery locally. Have the feeling my truck's rediculous charging system will devour the next one, too.

It is a safety issue to you. It is not classified as a safety issue for a vehicle.

Plenty of vehicles don't have key fobs. Plenty of vehicles don't have exterior lighting that comes on when doors are unlocked. Those are not mandated safety features for the American automotive industry.

EDIT: And I understand why owners are not happy with their Mavericks when they have the Deep Sleep issues but trying to classify it as a safety issue is unnecessary.

It helped me by hanging my keys away from the truck (the fob keeps the communication w/fob), turn off Wi-Fi, and "force stop" Ford pass when not needed. All these slow down battery use. It's a "cheaply, not cheap" made truck, and the Ford techies are suppose to have a update by 1st quarter...hmm, to be seen.

I do keep my additional key fob upstairs and bring the other with me at night. I have noticed walking by it will click and activate if the fob is in my pocket. Wondering if people continuously activate the truck by moving their fob.

In all seriousness - if using the battery tender to keep something topped off we connect to the posts in the engine bay, yes? Basically that is always our safe spot assuming we don't use the incorrect post...

Look up another thread on this. You need to put the connectors at a specific spot because of monitoring circuitry on the vehicle.

FYI - your truck doesn't "communicate" with the key fob (keyless or non), like back and forth.
The truck receiver is always listening for the key fob - either to get close enough (keyless entry), or for the button press (keyless or non).

Keyless-entry fob stops sending out signal after it's not moved for a short bit - to conserve it's battery.

Truck is on listening 24/7 anyway.

The other items are more useful though.

It doesn't monitor charging with key off.
Only ignition On.
It monitors discharge with key off.

Perhaps try saving the battery, it might be usable. My '22 did this with the original battery (3v on inspection), charged it fully, did the BMS reset. Trickle charged every couple of weeks. No issues. I did change it prior to the winter with another flooded, simply for peace of mind, but don't believe it was necessary.

Cheers.

If you have Forscan, reduce the PowerPoint timeout in your BCM. From the factory, power is supplied to your 12v outlets and other areas of the car for 4500 seconds (1 hour and 15 minutes) AFTER turning the car off and locking the doors. If you change this to 300s (5 minutes), it will conserve charge in your 12v battery. Deep sleep mode is designed to initiate when your battery falls below a certain voltage so it can conserve Battery voltage. Hybrids and EVs are more prone to this deep sleep issue.

Also doing a BMS reset/recalibration might help as well.
Hi Swag, I have to personally thank you for telling how to get rid of the Hyper blinkers with me using LASFIT LED bulbs. Hyper flashing is finally gone.
swag if you have time to explain please what i should do if i want to put the stock FORSCAN back on vehicle to then take to my dealer for work. Do i need to delete my logs and DTC's also? Any specific explanations would be greatly appreciated please. Thanks for all your contributions!
