I have a 2025 model, and my Ford App sent me a notification that my Maverick went into 'deep sleep' mode to conserve battery energy.... I thought Ford had resolved this problem for 2025.
My truck still started up fine and had zero issues. I drive the truck daily. I am a new Maverick owner. Is this common? Ignore it? Let the dealer know?

Unfortunately if you look at your window sticker "battery saver" is still a feature but double unfortunately your truck having deep sleep with what I assume is no more than 2-3 months in service with AGM battery does not look well going forward.

How often do you drive and how many miles is your typical drive ?

I drive between 20-30 miles daily. What do you recommend I should do?

No idea, but as long as it starts then its really not a issue (in theory)
Its a real poor notification feature and combine that with lack of interior lights its really a head scratcher. You'd think they could have made this feature more stealthy and notify owners only if absolutely necessary.

Anyways, seems like same old issues will continue.

Just curious after your next long drive, come home open hood and dont touch anything for 2 hours (keep key away from truck too) and take a battery voltage reading.

I will do that this upcoming weekend. I'll check the voltage before and after and provide an update. Thanks.

If anyone else has any other input, it would be greatly appreciated.

I recommend doing a search and a bit of reading here on 'deep sleep' ... and stay tuned for a few more weeks to see if Ford's promised fix materializes in the next few weeks.

If you have Forscan, reduce the PowerPoint timeout in your BCM. From the factory, power is supplied to your 12v outlets and other areas of the car for 4500 seconds (1 hour and 15 minutes) AFTER turning the car off and locking the doors. If you change this to 300s (5 minutes), it will conserve charge in your 12v battery. Deep sleep mode is designed to initiate when your battery falls below a certain voltage so it can conserve Battery voltage. Hybrids and EVs are more prone to this deep sleep issue.

Also doing a BMS reset/recalibration might help as well.

I lessened my issue with the deep sleep battery issue (so far) by deleting the Ford Pass app off my phone. That being said, the problem was much less of an issue with my '25 vs the weekly trickle charge I needed to do with my 2024 XLT which was one of the reasons that I choose to upgrade to a '25. I ran into a guy with a '22 Maverick locally who told me about this tip that helped him.

That would do nothing. You have to disable Fordpass in the infotainement settings menu. Turn off wifi and auto-updates while you are at it. Some pull a fuse too, I think it's 11, to make doubly sure.

It's fuse# 11.

OP: How long did your truck sit when the app notified you?

Did your dealer (or you) manually fully top off the battery when you bought it? If not, charge it overnight.

There was also an issue that received an SSM about false notifications of Deep Sleep being sent.

Truck really wasn't in that mode, and none of the conditions that call on deep sleep to enabled had actually occurred.

So 1st you might try unlocking your truck thru app after you receive that notice.

Now, the 25's seem to have been giving issues with the app - so perhaps Ford has made some changes and they are synced up better now - but inaccurate info.

I have now counted eight people with 2025 hybrid Mavericks with AGM batteries now having the deep sleep battery problem. So, no, Ford has done nothing to solve this safety problem that has existed now in all model years of the Maverick. The only thing that changed was they changed the verbiage in the FordPass app and on the 2025 window sticker to refer to the problem as a "battery saver mode" when in reality it is a battery charging system failure. Ford claims and promises a solution will be announced by the end of this month. There are 13 days left for them to prove they aren't bold face liars.

It was sitting for approx. 2 hours after driving it when I received the notification.

Stop it. It is not a safety problem.

Count me as someone with a 2025 with no issues related to Deep Sleep. I live in the North. It sits for days. It's going to sit for 5 days when I go to Chicago this weekend and it'll be fine.
