In the Order Guide Ford noted:

So basically they put that there as a placeholder just in case there is a shortage by the time production starts and they need to exercise that cost reduction.
Which is nothing new. They've been saying that for quite some time now and still haven't actually had to make the switch -- on Maverick at least. Now we just get a $ amount for the credit if it ever happens.

Looks like a similar 23 Hybrid XLT, Lux build is now $4000 more expensive?!

2024MY Maverick P758 PL415 Price List-1.jpg
Based on the MY23 to MY24 XLT Maverick Hybrid the Base price increase is $3,370 which should be what we see as a private offer.

The Math:

MY23 XLT Maverick Hybrid: $24,445
MY24 XLT Maverick $26,315 + $1,500 for Hybrid is $27,815 or an increase of $3,370

My loaded 23 Lariat hybrid price stays about the same. Was just under 35K.

So I dont think I seen anyone comment on this yet, what does the "dealer invoice w/holdback" mean? because there are slight differences in prices and I am not sure what they mean. does anyone have a guess for what the EB private offer may be then? I see the "3300" number introduced, what about the ecoboost?

Edited: also my build has only gone up $500 from 23-24MY with same options I wanted.

So, I'm assuming the -$720 on the Lariat package is Ford's way to account for removed features?

Lariat Lux is standard now. Can't get Lariat without it.
I think the $720 reduction is because in the Base Price the only option for the Lariat is AWD so the $720 reduction is to go to FWD. So it would be the base price minus the $720 and then adding the $1,500 if you want a Hybrid Lariat.

Holdback is how dealers can sell a bit under invoice and still not lose any money.

What Are Dealer Holdbacks for?
Dealerships have an inventory on hand so that consumers can browse and ultimately choose a vehicle. Dealerships pay for this inventory when they obtain vehicles from the manufacturer. The amount the dealer pays is the price reflected on the invoice from the manufacturer to the dealer. This is the so-called "invoice price."
Now the twist: With the introduction of holdbacks some years ago, most manufacturers inflated the invoice prices for every vehicle by a predetermined amount (2-3 percent of MSRP is typical). The dealer pays that inflated amount when it buys the car from the manufacturer. But later, at predetermined times (usually quarterly), the manufacturer reimburses the dealer for the excess amount. This is the "holdback," so named because funds are "held back" by the manufacturer and released only after the vehicle is invoiced to the dealership.
Why the complex accounting? Because holdbacks can benefit dealers in three ways:
1. Dealerships borrow money to finance cars based on an invoiced amount that includes the holdback. So the higher the invoiced amount, the more the dealership can borrow from its lender.
2. Inflating the dealership's cost can have the effect of increasing profit, since sales personnel are paid commissions based on the gross profit of each sale. Holdbacks have the effect of lowering the gross profit, and thus the sales commissions.
3. Holdbacks enable dealerships to advertise invoice-price sales and sell their vehicles at or near invoice and still make hundreds of dollars on the transaction.

I think the $720 reduction is because in the Base Price the only option for the Lariat is AWD so the $720 reduction is to go to FWD. So it would be the base price minus the $720 and then adding the $1,500 if you want a Hybrid Lariat.
See:

Lariat is EB AWD standard - new for 2024 in US, already in force for Canada for 2023. That includes the +$2,220 AWD up-charge.

EB AWD is $2,220 up-charge (included in Lariat list price).
Hybrid is $1,500 up-charge.

$2,220 - $1,500 gets that $720 figure. Think of it as taking off the cost of AWD and adding the cost of Hybrid.

That is the Dealer Invoice Pricing I.E what the dealer pays Ford.

The difference from MSRP to Invoice prices is profit to the dealer.

I Paid Invoice pricing an my MY22 Maverick as shown here:

Azure Gray Tri-Coat for $495. A lot better than the $1000 some said it would cost.
The $1000 was based off the price of Azure on Bronco and F150. Glad it's $495. It will have to replace my Alto blue is mine doesn't get built as MY23

Since my 2023 Lariat is already loaded, looks like the 2024 would go up $1,155 while losing the bed-rails included in the discount package and the keypad.

It looks like I'll be one of the few that is literally paying more for my Lariat Tremor w lux pkg. My price was $38,000, and now my Lariat tremor would be only $34,855 w/same options. I guess it had to happen to someone. The good news is it's finally scheduled, which trumps anything else! Also, my dealer is not honoring MSRP on anything, but I worked out the add-on before I ordered. It will hurt a bit until I'm flying down Baja in that beauty! :)
