Beautiful car. Very elegant. I love the color and the bright work. Those white walls are phat! 🤯

Sure looks like a LaSalle grille.
Good catch:
“ The “largest Fiberglas-plastic sports car body yet constructed,” is designed to fit 123”-125” wheelbase cars – the overall length is 16’ and width 6’. Weight approximately 220 pounds. The Maverick Company does a complete job of rebuilding V-8 LaSalle cars. Engine is re-bored to standard Cadillac size, special grind three-quarter race cam, Edmunds heads, Mallory ignition, dual exhaust, etc. ”

The article also says that it was built to go on any Cadillac chassis through 1936.

For those not familiar with it, the LaSalle was Cadillac’s lower “companion brand “, designed and built by Cadillac. It was also sportier, and sometimes have better performance.

I like Cadillac, some LaSalle used a straight eight, Cadillac went right from a straight floor to a V8 back in 1915. So maybe this fiberglass body didn’t quite fit all lasalle.

(I’m stuck on an iPad, I can’t make a proper link. It’s at:)

Hmm, You could still buy V-16 and V1 12 Cadillac in 1936. I wonder if it would go on those?

Cool! Bet you’ll never see a 22-25 Mav truck on the road still running @ that age!
that's a safe bet given this is 70+ years old. in 2092 I'll be long gone, and it's questionable whether there will be any gas stations, either. :ROFLMAO:

For those who would like to know more about the '1st' Maverick vehicle, these sites will probably provide more than you might wish to know. Some great photos, and a look at the entrepreneurial spirit that made America the envy of the world. . . . . . . . . . .hpdl (herr professor doktor lesmeister) 🧐

How old is the Maverick? 1952-1968 Maverick Sportster. And it is not a Ford!
