Since the 2025 model has the 13.2" screen across all trims (not requiring Sync) this thread can serve as a placeholder for ordering the actual OEM parts (when they become available) along with instructions and tips across all trims.

This thread is not intended for retrofitting other Ford model screens or expensive aftermarket solutions.

First question is - how soon will 2025 parts be searchable or available?

I'm thinking even using Ford parts it's not going to be a cheap or easy upgrade. Not only are you going to have to buy the screen but you will need to replace dash pieces as well.

I believe sync 4 is standard across all trims of the 2025, so I don't know if this plan is going to work. If it does, it may not be easy. It definitely won't be cheap, especially if you have the base stereo. There will also be the trim pieces. I don't think this is going to be a easy as everyone is hoping. I'd love to wrong, because I wouldn't mind a larger screen myself. From what I understand, it probably won't be worth the trouble of trying.

I was just checking the '25 Build and Price, looks like Sync 4 is standard across all models. That means unless you have a Lariat you won't have a APIM module all be it a Sync 3 one on the '22-'24 so add that to the shopping list and it doesn't have the 54 pin connector needed for the APIM so add a wiring harness to the list as well.
Someone in MTC actually did upgrade to a 8" Sync 4 system but it was anything but plug and play. Honestly if it means that much to you order a '25.

I would hope someone (company) comes up with an aftermarket upgrade that would be similar to the 2025 in it being a 13 inch

I second this. Unless you have a Lariat, OEM is not going to work well as a retrofit. Aftermarket will likely be the best solution.

Even more specific, Lariat with the Lux package. *Cries in Lariat non lux being the only Lariat trim in Mexico*

I personally would rather have a 7-in Kenwood exelon head unit with built-in HD radio I data link maestro integration which would include integrating the backup camera steering wheel controls and even add capability for the aftermarket XM Sirius tuner. That would be leaps and bounds in my opinion above Ford's system.

Sadly it will probably never come into happen, or to be years down the road and by then I'll no longer care.

The Kenwood exceloni installed in my 2012 F-150 when it was new played DVDs ,CDs had HD radio, extra USB ports, amp RCA's, front and rear camera inputs, Sirius XM tuner, Garmin Nav, so much stuff and it worked so nice as well as having over the air updates frequently.
