What does Sync 3 offer that CarPlay does not? So far I’m content with just plugging in my phone and using that. $1200 for a gps is wild.

that will only work if you already have sync 3, which only is on the Lariat with the Luxury package. It will not work with the non-sync 8 inch screen.
