To make scanning this thread less difficult for us poor hybrid holdouts, if anyone gets a hybrid scheduled could they please write:

HYBRID! HYBRID! HYBRID!

across the top of their post? That way I can pop up, scan the thread quickly, and sink back into the all-consuming hopelessness that is the sinkhole of my life.

Have a nice day...
last Tuesday, 9/ 07 I Heard Tim Bartz from Long MacArthur Ford make a statement on his weekly YouTube update regarding Maverick that the hybrid engines might have a quality control issue as a possibility for non-being scheduled now. He was guessing but not certain of the actual reasons. And Ford Authority email this morning it mentions possible supply issues/chip shortages surrounding the slow down of Maverick orders.

Did anyone with a tonneau cover get scheduled this week? Considering pulling that option given the fact that it's easy to add after the fact (and likely cheaper from 3rd party).
I would pull it. I'm sure there are gonna be a ton of tonneau aftermarket options in the coming year that may or may not be better than what's offered from Ford. I'm banking on a Peragon cover. They already do one for the F-150 and Ranger. Mav seems like a no brainer.

Wish I was lying, then I wouldn’t be upset about waiting on an Ecoboost Maverick ordered in June
He's saying the other guy is lying about putting in an order on Saturday and getting it scheduled today.

Congrats to all. Ecoboost is very cool and effective for this application. You know how they keep saying this will be the first time some folks buy a truck? I've had a truck. I think the real story is those of us who never would have considered a hybrid if not for this offering.

Anyone who has taken options they wanted off of their build based on a week-by-week commodity constraint shouldn't be so surprised when that option ends up getting scheduled a different week.

If you ordered the truck a certain way, keep it that way.

I've seen people switch from hybrid to Ecoboost even though they really wanted the hybrid. What happens if/when there's a huge wave of hybrid scheduling the next couple weeks? It's going to make those engine change decisions seem pretty unnecessary.
Agree, people have no patience. Get what YOU want, you’re going to be living with that decision for many years in some cases.

You hit it in that last sentence.

Me too, 6/25/21 order date to be exact. XLT, HYBRID, spray in bed liner. Damned if I am going to change my order.
Full disclosure, I TRIED to change my order to the lux package or drop the bed all together but my dealer wasn't having it. Everything had been "locked in" for over a month. I'd given up hope altogether only to be pleasantly surprised today.

Same order for me. I'm also holding on. I would like to sell my current vehicle while the used car prices are up, but other that that waiting is a pain -- waiting always is -- but it's not a big inconvenience for me.

That said, I read a lot of posts from people who have reasons (other than impatience) for needing to get a vehicle soon. They may choose to drop some things to try to maximize their chances.

Each one has to make their own path through the fog...

Yeah I order from on of the bigger dealerships Group in Indiana. It not skin off my back the longer the bigger the downpayment but I just have to keep my old 02 honda running till it gets here.

Which one? My order is with Skillman.
