Well hopefully those people that treat proclamations from LM as gospel can use this as an opportunity to learn that while Tim might read his emails from fmc better than many other dealers, he still does not have any more insider access than most Ford salespeople. Not knocking him, but his strength is accessibility, not knowledge. There are thousands of sales people across the country that are just as informed or more informed than Tim, they just don't happen to have youtube channels or forum accounts.

What are you even arguing about? What was posted is literally the official comms FROM FMC to dealers…

of course there are dealers nationwide just as educated… they all get the same comms. Again, what’s your argument ?

A thought. I know Ford said, "hybrid only" but I wonder if someone at the factory pointed out it had been a month since they had a large number of trucks scheduled and the books were getting thin. The decision to pull the trigger on a full scheduling run might have been a late decision. Especially since the bulk of these are for February, which is only three weeks from today.

Fleet and stock orders have a higher priority number. So, on paper, should not even be looked at. But who knows.

Yeah I'm sure Ford Corp looks at fleet order of lets say 35-50 vehicles and says "Nope, they have a higher priority code so we can't schedule them."

Why did you even bring up priority codes? Your prior posts were all about VINs.

Actually 22 production started in June of 2021. But there was the usual slow ramp up of a new model. The first 3 months they produced a total of less than 2000 Mavs.

So yes, they produced 22s for 18 months. But if they can average 10K per month (near their 23 scheduling rate so far). They could make 110,000 in eleven months of 23 production.

This is not true at all. I ordered a 22MY Maverick in June of '21 and I can tell you hands down that production did not start until later in the fall of that year. Trust me bro it was September of '21.

I see that a few switched from Hybrid to EB. If that is any indication across the board hopefully that will help ease the constraint on the Hybrid.

I assume you are referring to these numbers?

If that is the case then the June and July numbers represent preproduction vehicles. These vehicles are produced with the sole purpose of driving around to dealers for training purposes. These vehicles are not allowed to be sold to the public. Most of them are either crushed or sent to emergency services like firefighters so they can train on how to use their equipment.

The August number represents fleet vehicles produced on the line. Ford does this on every assembly line. They run a batch of fleet vehicles down the line first to make sure the line is ready. If no problems are found the line is deemed ready for mass production.

The September number is really when production started for retail, stock, and fleet orders. That is why the production number for September is so much greater than the prior months.

Yes I can explain it since I have been involved in dozens of manufacturing line startups including at vehicle manufacturing facilities, including Ford.

It's called a production ramp-up. The line does not startup at full speed. It takes time to debug and tune the new equipment and train the personnel how to build the vehicle and keep the machines that are building the vehicle running.

It took him many months to get the line up to speed.
