AGM for Hybrid

I'm currently finding myself in need of a new battery for my hybrid. Wondering if you purchased this battery. If so,, how was install?

Amazon has a AGM H4 for $140. Seems like a good deal.

Did you purchase and install this battery? Wondering how it fit and what adaptations you had to make.

Agree. Not to mention the higher CCA rating. I'd like to get a battery that will drop in relatively easy. There are links here to H4 batteries as well. I'm going to assume these are smaller than the H5

Both Sam's and Walmart's are LARGER H5. They are not just drop in. You have to remove all the plastics and bend some metal.
If you want an exact fit drop in...
Then you're looking for.

I put the same one in my hybrid. Fits perfectly.

Because it's an internet battery.
I asked about how the core fee was handled. "Chewy" he did not send it back. He posted that he took the old core to AutoZone and they gave him like a $15 credit.

No it doesn't. Just reset the BMS.

This is the one I have. It is a littler taller than the stock battery, but it works great! I would suggest you remove the plastic around it. I didn't have to bend anything to make if fit in the flooring. Software is already set to charge an AGM battery.

The only thing you have to do is the BMS battery reset overnight count the sheep thingamabob!

And to everyone, remember, getting an AGM battery will NOT eliminate the occasional "sleep" messages. That is a software issue. The software likes to send data about your truck to the mother Ford cloud.

Sometimes it chooses to do it when your battery is low. So it just shuts itself off until the battery is back to its normal level.

The main thing to be happy about is the AGM will charge back up faster and stay there longer than a flooded battery. My original battery died within 4 weeks of ownership. I then bought another brand new flooded battery ( I wasn't aware of an AGM battery being better) and the second flooded battery lasted 6 weeks.

AGM battery has been good to go since May this year.

Thanks for the reminder. I know the deep sleep issue awaits a Ford fix. Lately, I'm seeing my original flood battery losing voltage and not charging to full capacity when being driven. I think the AGM will help with that.
