Is 12 volt battery for hybrid a AGM battery?

I’ve not seen a single instance of actual proof that hybrid Mavericks ship with an AGM battery despite what some people (above) claim. Mine certainly is a flooded battery

I think some of it was early speculation, from before it shipped, since most hybrids have shipped with AGM batteries. Given how poorly the 12v battery in the hybrid Maverick performs, I wish they had.

All the Toyota Hybrids I and friends owned had AGM 12v batteries. I wasn't talking about the Maviercks Hybrids janky SLI battery.

Agreed. Will probably let the factory battery wear some more before replacing it, but it'll definitely get swapped with an AGM..

I didn't find an AGM battery in the 99R T4 battery group that looked like a drop in replacement for the Maverick's BXT99RT4-A when I searched, just Flooded/Wet Starting, Lighting, Ignition (SLI).

Perhaps with all the supply constraints the factory uses whatever is available.
