I just received a 2024 Hybrid XLT. Pretty disappointed so far, but it's a company car/truck.
Being that I am 6'2 and move my legs, in doing so, I have hit the rotary dial at least 4 times while in cruise control knocking it into neutral or reverse.
I have read that someone installed an F-150 shifter. Are there any updates, pics, videos on this?
And would it work on a 2024?

specifically, how did you do that? what were you doing and what body part hit the shifter?

... and are you really thinking about modifying a company truck to that extent? if you mean you get a stipend and the company is paying monthly for your personal vehicle, that's what I have and it's very different from getting issued a truck that the company owns. I would 100% not modify company property like that.

I absolutely love the dial shifter! It gives me more space and something not to hit. In almost 3 years of ownership, I have not hit my dial shifter accidently. I too wondering how you are doing this...

I'm 6'1" and havent had this issue in nearly three years of ownership, maybe you need to adjust your seat and steering wheel so you have a little more room. The steering when should go up and down and in and out. Depending on the configuration for the seat, I have the XLT lux so mine has a lot of adjustments that can be made but for standard you should at least have back and forth and recline.

Regular XLT also has a seat height adjustment. I hit that by mistake trying to adjust the seatback angle.

Move the seat toward the rear of the cab for your comfort.

Adjust the steering wheel position;
  1. Toward or away from you
  2. Also higher or lower, to a comfortable position.

If you have the option to raise the seat up it helps alot.

I can't fathom a position whereby one's body is accidentally hitting the dial shifter. I like the extra space it affords and its ease of use. Sure, it got a bit getting used to, but I do not miss the "sword in the stone" shifter in the middle of the console.

For the skeptical, I went and sat in my truck and if you are sufficiently splayed out I supposed you could hit the dial.

I for one would change how I sat before performing surgery on the shifter, but don't let that stop you.
