Great Truck but..... Issue with dash quality. Many vehicles and this never happened before.

What are you alleging is the cause of this? Looks like a giant fingerprint to me.

Looks like a reaction between the dash and the bottom of that cover. Not all hydrocarbons play nice with each other.

I would reach out to the cover manufacturer.

That stinks, looks like something in your dash cover reacted with the dash.

Welcome to the forum, sorry this is your first post.

To my eyes it looks like a cleaning agent of some type was sprayed on the dash in three spots and spread around damaging and discoloring the dashboard plastic.

Need some context as to how the damage occurred and/or was discovered.

Modern plastics in vehicles do NOT like harsh chemicals for cleaning.

I see he's got the dash cover pulled over to the side.
I would have never thought a dash cover would do that.

I just checked mine, even with all the heat other than the lint that was on there when I put the dash cover on. So far so good.

Drive-by complaint?

Looks like an el cheapo dash cover is the cause.

I have never ever understood putting a dash cover on a brand new vehicle. But these are probably people who still prefer carpeted steps….
I can't speak for others but for me I like that it protects from cracking but I mainly did it for aesthetics. It adds the retro look I wanted. I even changed the colors to the radio and the knobs to make it look more uniform from top to bottom. The beauty of the Maverick is that its so easy to mod even if its just small mods.

I haven’t had a dash crack on a vehicle in more than 25 years. The last being a square body f150 that was already 10 years old and completely abused.

I haven't either but my roommates both have cracked dashes and their vehicles are about 12 years old. I dont know how long I will keep the Maverick but I like to see how long it will last.
