Sorry to hear about your accident and glad you are okay.So our first minor fender bender happened today. While pulling out of a parking spot the front passenger side bumper side swiped the vehicle next to it......sigh......I know these things happen but at less than 200 miles it's frustrating....why oh why????
Anyway, just wanted to get everyones opinion on how to proceed. Unfortunately turning it over to insurance is not an option so we were thinking about just calling the dealer we bought it from and making an appointment with the body shop. Is that a solid plan?
Here's a pic of the damage. As you can see it's not bad but we want to get it fixed.

It looks like it could be 'repaired' for less than the average deductible.Everyone who pays for monthly auto insurance premiums (which should cover uninsured/underinsured), but never actually uses insurance is baffling. The whole point of insurance is to have them on your side in the event of an... accident.
I agree with this. Stuff happens. Leave it as is and name your truck Scarface.Meh, it’s just a cheap work truck. Just leave it, it will make the next blemish seem much less important.
At most, just rattle can it
Is it correct that if you do a claim, even if you fully pay out of pocket with your deductible, then that means if there's another accident (within a year?) then that deductible amount has already been reached and you'll be covered for any further costs? It looks like it could be 'repaired' for less than the average deductible.
