Got my letter today.
Regardless, I’m not worried about this. I suspect if it’s going to fail it will be long before 100k miles.

But that was mostly waiting for parts, right? (I certainly hope that parts was the issue there!!)Interesting that they claim a 3-day replacement timeframe. When my 2018 Escape suffered from the ":coolant intrusion" problem, it took them 6 weeks to replace the short block.

I really couldn't tell you. They provided a N/C loaner for the entire time. But that was mostly waiting for parts, right? (I certainly hope that parts was the issue there!!)
Good luck. Glad you're safe.I got my letter a few weeks ago. I did a long trip over the past few weeks, I got back Saturday. Sunday morning my malfunction indicator light came one. Got it towed to the dealership and they got the code P1061. So, ya, I got the issue. They said everything is back-ordered, but they are giving me a loaner in the meantime.
I'm just glad it happened after my trip and not during. That would've sucked. (I had just over 80,000km on my Hybrid XLT when it happened.)
100k is nothing on a hybrid motor.... I'm disappointed that they didn't do a swap on all like Toyota.SUBJECT: Customer Satisfaction Program 23N06 Certain 2021-2022 Model Year Corsair, 2020-2022 Model Year Escape and 2022- 2023 Model Year Maverick Vehicles Equipped With 2.5L HEV/PHEV Engine Long Block Replacement REF : NEW VEHICLE DEMONSTRATION / DELIVERY HOLD - Safety Recall 23S27 Dated April 25, 2024
PROGRAM TERMS For vehicles that are outside of normal powertrain warranty, this program provides a one-time replacement (if needed) free of charge (parts and labor) of the engine long block assembly for 10 years or 100,000 miles from the warranty start date of the vehicle, whichever occurs first. If a vehicle has already exceeded either the time or mileage limits, this no-cost repair will last through July 31, 2025. Coverage is automatically transferred to subsequent owners.
VEHICLES COVERED BY THIS PROGRAM Vehicle Model Year Assembly Plant Build Dates Corsair 2021-2022 Louisville October 24, 2019 through December 14, 2022 Escape 2020-2022 January 09, 2019 through December 15, 2022 Maverick 2022-2023 Hermosillo February 3, 2021 through May 18, 2023 US population of affected vehicles: 124,902. Affected vehicles are identified in OASIS.
REASON FOR PROVIDING A NO-COST, ONE-TIME REPAIR In some of the affected vehicles, after safety recall 23S27 has been performed, the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) may illuminate and store Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P1061 and/or P032F. This could be due to a faulty connecting rod bearing that was detected by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). SERVICE ACTION If an affected vehicle exhibits this condition, dealers are to follow Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics for the DTCs P1061 and/or P032F. If these DTCs are present and diagnostics lead to engine replacement, dealers are to replace the long block assembly. This service must be performed at no charge to the vehicle owner.
no, a loaner is not included by Ford Motor Company in this program. Will ford let you have a loaner if you need new motor?
how many miles do you have on each truck?23N06 today 10/7/24 I got notice that both my 2022 Lariat and 2022 XLT LUX are eligible for the engine long block replacement for 10 year 150k mile P1061 and/or P032F or engine knocking codes. Before this letter I was aware of only the Lariat. Maybe they are proactively trying to ease our fears? They recently upped the milage from 100,000 to 150,000 miles.
All recalls on the Lariat with 32,000+ miles have been done.how many miles do you have on each truck?
you'll want to get all recalls done because the detection for the engine issue(s) is added with a pcm/bcm reflash. (that's all covered in this old thread, I think.?)
I am experiencing 0.017% chance now...lost power on the highway and I have the coverage but dealer is trying to reproduce the code...its a bit frustrating...waiting on tests.Remember that it's only a 0.017% chance of having such a faulty engine.
So, I had the code come up while working out of town, got towed 50 miles since the vehicle went into limp mode (25 miles an hour) and the dealership in Texas reset the code and said it was low radiator fluid.SUBJECT: Customer Satisfaction Program 23N06 Certain 2021-2022 Model Year Corsair, 2020-2022 Model Year Escape and 2022- 2023 Model Year Maverick Vehicles Equipped With 2.5L HEV/PHEV Engine Long Block Replacement REF : NEW VEHICLE DEMONSTRATION / DELIVERY HOLD - Safety Recall 23S27 Dated April 25, 2024
