I have a 2022 Hybrid Lariat with Lux package and all the 360 driver assist bells and whistles. Very happy with the truck, now with 62k miles.
In Forscan I turned off the "normal" double honk when exiting the vehicle with the vehicle still on. This tweak works as expected. When dropping off my kids at school I can get out to give them a hug while keeping the truck on and it doesn't honk
However: very occasionally the truck still double honks AFTER turning off the ignition (!!), and right when opening the driver door. This is SUPER annoying at times.
I cannot figure out what triggers this. And then most importantly: is there any setting in the vehicle that I can change to get rid of this annoyance?
Just to note: I am aware that the latest Ford Maverick recalls overwrite the BCM module, causing me to redo my little Forscan tweaks including the one related to the double honk. That's not it.
This random double honk is triggered by something else. But what is it?
As always: any feedback on this from the community would be really appreciated.
Cheers!
