I have my 24 Lariat set to regular cruise control (not adaptive) and every time I turn cruise control on, it give me 3 chimes and a warning that adaptive is turned off. Does anyone know how to turn the warning and chimes off? Atleast the chimes. Thank you.

I'll look into this. there may be cluster settings that lessen or remove the chimes/messages but I will look and see if there is a way in forscan to remove them. You are getting the warning messages through the cluster correct?

Yes that is correct, I can post a picture tomorrow. I have eliminated all chimes on my truck except for this one. There is no setting in the cluster menu, it will have to be in forscan.

MY24 issue? I have to look at the dash to see cruise connected, otherwise it's mute.

I'll do some diving into this and see. The chime and warning is there so Ford is not liable if you get in an accident because of mistaking normal cruise for adaptive cruise.. I see F150 forum posts about this same warning screen and chime and no one has a solution to disable it yet. I'll see if I can narrow down a few sections of coding that could be responsible for the message and chime. Just out of curiosity, Is there a reason that you prefer using regular cruise control over adaptive? There are ways to adjust the adaptive cruise so it is smoother in operation. I understand it could just be personal preference. Ill see what I can find

I figured it was a safety thing, same with the million seat belt pop ups and chimes and red icons which I was successfully able to remove(thankfully). This one is not that big of a deal as I only have to hear it once when I first turn cruise control on. Regular cruise is personal preference. I've been driving a long time and never liked the adaptive as they never let you get close enough to cars and if someone changes lanes in front of you, it's slams your brakes. I prefer to be in control, I'm not sleeping while I'm driving so I can make decisions for myself lol. If you figure it out, that would be great! I didn't see anything that stood out while I was initially coding the truck but I'm sure it's in there somewhere.

no luck?
Also looking for a way to allow addresses to be typed into navigation while driving. Currently vehicle has to be stopped for safety reasons

I have a related question. While in normal cruise control, I get the same warning but, I also get it over and over again. Originally it was a one and done warning. Now every time I hit the brake or just turn on the cruise control, I get the warning message non-stop after each acknowledgement. Anyone else experience this? Just asking if there is a quick self-fix before I contact the dealer.

I have all that useless crap set to the minimum assist level. It’s easily ignored.
If I’m going far I toggle it off on my left steering wheel hat switch.

Tesla has Full Auto Drive. They have No patents on any of that. It’s free for the taking Ford ! Get with the program or get left behind.

Do you have lane centering or lane keep on at the same time?

Did you ever get this resolved? Mine just started doing the same thing.
