The most I have ever made it on one tank is 830 miles. But this the furthest I have gotten before hitting zero to empty. So if I am actually at 13.8 gallons used I should have about two more gallons to go. Is it worth it? What's your guess on my decision and final MPG at the pump (3 clicks full)

Are you sitting on the side of the road at the top of Independence Pass, ready to piss off some people behind you with a ton of creative braking and acceleration styles while headed down? If so, sure! :)

If you keep your eyes glued to that power gauge you're gonna crash and never make it. Like those Prius drivers.

Looks like i got a long way to go but in my defence im breakin a new truck and a new driver. finally got my scangage hooked up so i know when the motors runnin`
i wish there was a way to moniter the hyb battery state of charge, is there? Id like to know your technique, driving and have you done any mods for mpg. for years i always got a k&n airfilter but have read some bad reviews. will prob inflate the tires to almost 50 psi and might do a muffler delete. ill have to check out your other posts to see if there answers...

I voted for “don’t be stupid,” but it’s just because I am jealous!

The app Infocar with a ODB device will give you hybrid battery charge percentage.

Do it, for science. And throw a can of gas in the bed for when ... well you know.

im gonna ask for a little clarification. first im old and not tech savy and really didnt know what you said. but let me continue. if this requires a smart phone, stop, i dont own one and have no plans to obtain such phone. my nine dollar flip from walmart gets my bank codes and it pretty much all i need. My scangage II is probably 15 yr old ( ive got two) and its probably as good as im gonna get. I hope im not soundin like an azz i was hoping there was something in the factory system that i have/had overlooked. that owners manuel is 500 pages of boreing. but thanks for the reply .....z

Came up 22 miles short. Got the warning message on the freeway. Lucky I had enough momentum to exit safely. From there it had limited power for me to pull off to a lot to add a gallon that I had ready in the bed.

Made it 81 miles after 0 mte. I don't know if I would have made it to 900 but the past 2 weekends I was doing truck stuff, moving office furniture and did not put the tanneu cover on for the past week. After driving about another 8 MI I filled up and it took 14.7 gal to get 3 clicks. So I'm guessing total fuel volume is about 15.7ish gallons. Which would make this tank average about 56 MPG.

The scan gauge can be sent back to the company and they will update it with the current software version then you can see more features of the Maverick Hybrid like hybrid battery charge, battery amps, battery voltage, battery temperature and more.

Or you can buy a ScanGaugeIII that gets updates over wifi.
