This isn't the 'real' Lariat appearance, but a particular option package; ST/Lobo/whatever. So the comments hating the grille and wheels are a little overblown.

The regular Lariat supposedly will look like this:

We got a great look at another Ford Maverick prototype, currently suspected to be the new Lobo package trademarked by Ford. This particular Maverick shows off an all-new vertically-slatted grille, flanked by the new headlights that are part of the Maverick’s mid-cycle facelift.

Once again, we see a new front bumper design, with newly integrated fog lights. We see more body-colored trim—all painted gloss black here—but the bed rails are still in unpainted black plastic on particular prototype. Our earlier look at this particular Maverick configuration captured a blue prototype, with matching blue-painted bed rails.

The mid-cycle refreshment treatments hint at improving aero (wheels included). Could be aimed at enhancing CAFE numbers or (heaven forbid) an EV variant.

Met up with a buddy at the range today. He got him a new 24 GMC...I noticed the headlights. This is what his truck looked like. Hmmmm

I am happy with the 2024 styling and I'm not a fan of that new grill if that's what they go with. It made for an easy decision to just purchase a 2024 rather than wait for 2025.

I feel like all the children of the 80s (my gen) are in the decision making seats now.

Let this be a reminder that just because you have nostalgia, doesn't mean it was good!

These styles sucked back then and they suck now too 😂. Every time I see those rims, this damn bike comes to mind.

I agree on the ugly wheels, and that grill almost looks like a jeep. I'll stick to my 2018 F150 diesel for now. But a manual in this little baby just might make me change my mind.

those wheels are absolutely tragic. if this is the "street" version they should've at least taken a blow torch to those springs so it isn't jacked to the sky, ugh. hideous all around
Those wheels annoy me.
the wheels are poop. nope.
Mercy, those wheels are HIDEOUS
I said it before, and I’ll say it again. Those wheels are fugly
Nope, nope, nope!
Front grille reminds me of Hannibal Lecter's mask.
Wheels look toy-ish, like a kid's plastic truck or something.
Why can't they leave well enough alone...?!
Yep. Those wheels are ugly AF.
Ugly,Ugly, Ugly front end! Those wheels?? Take the steelies over those any day.
like almost everything including the front end, but those damn wheels, what were they thinking.
Not a fan. Fugly wheels IMHO.
As much as everyone rags on the steelies, I presently have them on my truck and prefer them to these ugly things.
I don't believe there is any chance that those wheels actually make it to production I guess maybe on a new Sporty trim (Lobo or whatever they call it) but even then I really doubt it. I think those wheels are just place holders on the prototype. I've seen things like that before for many other testing vehicles.
