Hopefully people will shut up about an AWD hybrid now, super annoying. Most people don't even need it.

Let's see how many people actually do this. And what's price going to be? Definitely not starting at $19,999 lol

It seems very likely the black front bumper is tacked on there and must have been on a black truck at some point. There's 100% no way they intend to put a black bumper on any other colour truck and just leave the colour change at the body lines, that looks awful.

The all blue front end on the blue truck is definitely close to what they will end up with, it's just unfortunate the colour matched version looks even worse than the slapped on black one.

Wouldn't stop me from buying a hybrid AWD if it had the 4K tow, but not with interest rates and prices the way they are, I'll keep putting miles on my '22 for now.
Agreed, I think There are already signs of possible recession on the horizon. Maybe next year. I think the interest rates are having the desired effect and inflation is less than half what It was in 2022. So maybe they'll cut rates sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed

The 4K was the only reason I didn't pick a Hybrid. If they add 4K as a hybrid option, there is little reason to even offer a straight Ecoboost.
besides maybe the cost if there was a big difference? lets say 10k?... only offered on Lariat when you could only afford XL...maybe XLT...type of deal? I get what you mean tho...if close in price and can do the same things, and one gets 10mpg better...why not get hybrid awd then.

The current ecoboost can barely tow 4k lol, no chance for the hybrid to do it.

I wonder if the AWD hybrid is flat towable behind an RV. That's the only reason I purchased the Maverick hybrid in the first place, otherwise I may have gone with the ecoboost if that was flat towable.

A '24 model year configured exactly like my '22 model year is $8,000 more than what I paid. The '25 AWD hybrid is easily going to be about $10,000 more.
But your trade in will be worth more than you paid for it. Provided its in good condition, you’ll get a lot of that money back.

The XLT hybrid starts at ~$28,000, I would estimate another $2,000 for AWD as a starting prices.
Probably, at least. Guessing more like 32-34.

The tax credit is based off battery size, the Maverick gets a VERY small tax credit.
It’s based on where battery is made IIRC. Ford Escape PHEV hybrid gets $3750 tax credit. But that isn’t what we’re talking about here (just a regular hybrid gets no credit).

Also, the tax credit doesn't do you any good unless you are above the Standard Deduction. The vast majority of people are not above the Standard Deduction. In other words, you effectively get $0.
Very few people earn more than $14,000/year? Definitely not those who buy $30k cars. Your federal tax must be above $3750 for the Escape plug in hybrid to receive the credit (and below around $150k) which is about $45,000 single income to receive full tax credit of the plug in Escape.

But the US government gives up to a $7500 tax credit on PHEV. So it may not cost any extra.
You get $3750 for hybrid escape PHEV but must be eligible for it (wife and I are not). For some it might make sense though. As wasteful as it is lol.

Big question for me is how much will the AWD Hybrid MPG be affected. Certainly will carrying more weight.

I still think the santa cruz doesn't sell well because of its looks and name.
Ford is well known for trucks, and the Maverick actually looks like a pickup on the outside.
While I do like the Maverick's design better, the only reason I didn't shop the Hyundai too was lack of a hybrid option. That's the only reason I considered the Maverick to begin with (well, and I thought bringing back the name was cool....)

Couldn't agree more.
those look fake to me, like its still camo'd. If its not, I hate the front then, weird angles and curves.
