In every iteration but especially this one.

i mean it really looks like they had 10 minutes before a deadline to present their "refresh" and someone freaked out and tacked an extra bumper cover on it and said, "there we go!"
Yeah look at all the marks on the lower facia. Looks like residue from tape or something.

It seems very likely the black front bumper is tacked on there and must have been on a black truck at some point. There's 100% no way they intend to put a black bumper on any other colour truck and just leave the colour change at the body lines, that looks awful.

The all blue front end on the blue truck is definitely close to what they will end up with, it's just unfortunate the colour matched version looks even worse than the slapped on black one.

Wouldn't stop me from buying a hybrid AWD if it had the 4K tow, but not with interest rates and prices the way they are, I'll keep putting miles on my '22 for now.
I think it's the grill that makes the blue one look so bad.

Yes really....you are a fool to think it's going to look like a prototype.
"Prototype" is relative. The blue one was a trim package we have not seen before, but "prototype" trucks that are that complete usually don't parade around in public outside of auto shows. Like it or not, we will see that one again, for sale.

There is literally tape residue all over this latest one with Hybrid and AWD badges. The fact that they have pulled the camo OFF suggests we are getting close.

Hopefully people will shut up about an AWD hybrid now, super annoying. Most people don't even need it.
I live in Southern Ontario and had my Maverick through the last winter. On even the slipperiest days it handled just fine in Slippery Mode.

That is correct. I know when Ford first announced the Maverick they said both the EcoBoost and Hybrid would have the 4k option available. Then shortly after the order banks opened they notified people who had ordered a Hybrid with the 4k that it was not available. So I'm sure that with the AWD the Hybrid can tow 4k lbs.
Hope they upgrade those axles.

What if they make the Maverick hybrid only starting in 25. You get the option of FWD that can tow 2k like the current version and AWD that can now tow 5k (to match the Hyundai Santa Cruz tow capacity).

We just spied the latest camouflage reduction on Ford’s revamped 2025 Maverick which confirms once and for all that the mid-cycle overhaul will marry the Hybrid powertrain with AWD, answering one of the big wish-list items since the compact pickup burst on the scene.

Badges Confirm Hybrid AWD Addition to the Maverick Lineup
This confirmation comes thanks to the removal of the rest of the camouflage on one of the Maverick prototypes—named Benito, according to the sticker applied to the truck’s rear window. With the rear camouflage gone, the fully-badged tailgate announces this important new development. Now, Maverick buyers don’t have to choose between a FWD-only fuel-sipper, or the less-efficient AWD variant. They can get power to all four wheels, AND the Maverick’s fuel-efficient hybrid drivetrain. We also included an earlier shot of the “Benito” before the graphic wrap was removed, in order to provide a better look at the independent rear suspension that makes up the Maverick AWD variant.

New Grille Design and Front-Fascia Fully Revealed
This Hybrid AWD prototype also gives us our first fully uncovered look at another one of the Maverick’s revised front fascias for its 2025 lineup. Our earlier shots of a blue, Lariat-badged, undisguised Maverick prototype with lots of body-color trim revealed a new vertically-slatted grille design that was likely a new sporty package available for the Lariat or XLT trims (as it is with the Tremor package). This new prototype—Benito—is also badged as a Lariat, but its aggressive grille texture is completely different, and reveals the Maverick’s new face without the body-color accents and newly available fog lights. We also get a very close-up look at the Maverick’s redesigned headlights, which have more F-150 flavor on the trucklet’s new face.

We also get another look at the Maverick’s new, larger infotainment screen, without any camouflage adorning the dashboard. Once again, it appears to be the 13.2-inch landscape display that is also found on the upper trims of the Ford Escape and the Mustang. More tech upgrades will be found in augmented safety sensors, which may also bring with it Blue Cruise availability. New cameras have been installed on the side mirrors of higher-end Maverick trims, along with a frontal radar sensor that can be seen nestled into the truck’s lower air-intake.

Thanks I've been hoping for the awd hybrid but still don't like the front grill. I'll figure it out maybe new old grill?

The 4K was the only reason I didn't pick a Hybrid. If they add 4K as a hybrid option, there is little reason to even offer a straight Ecoboost.

I wonder if they upgraded the CV axles, and if so, I wonder if Ford will put out a recall to retroactively add them to older hybrids.
I believe they sorted the issue with the supplier on those for the '23 and newer model years.

My '22 had both replaced at around 40K miles.

I'm just hoping they do make the AWD hybrid and it's not too pricey. Because I want a hybrid for the mileage but I want the independent rear suspension in AWD as well......lol

"Spied" seems silly when they removed all the camouflage, more of a preview to gauge interest. I do think the front end looks better with that goofy "EV" panel in black vs. body color, but it should be the same matte plastic as the bumper and grill. I don't need AWD so that does nothing for me, but if there is a larger towing capacity that might be of interest to me, the rear does seem higher. But I don't like the raked forward look for when driving without a load or trailer. Also not a fan of the larger screen and less buttons and knobs unless it works better than the current system (doubt it will).
