Do to my www admin role, ford finally received the message that I am the real deal and acted on it
They remote pushed with ATT Carfast google amazon and other i haved ‘Saved’ in the past together fixed the problem with TMoble total vendetta against my devices. Causing one of the back up routes.
As a result, all the fixes currently available are in my Maverick. They ‘fixed’ wireless Android and Apple carplay in my 22. Will let you guys know what is working. In the works for release

I have nothing constructive to add other than venting on this 12v battery issue. I’ve just reached the deep sleep issue after 5 months and 2k miles on my Mav Hybrid Lariat. I’ve been reading and researching this for several months and, I agree, it does seem like a question of when and not if. I feel bad for the other MTC folks who have to deal with this as well. Just put Mav on my Noco Genius5 and got one red indicator suggesting a nearly dead battery. I’ll charge to solid green and try the BMS reset. I’m really SICK of this issue and Ford’s lack of response now that we are 2 years in. First time the Mav doesn’t start ….. I’m putting in a third party AGM. I’m betting that I’ll need to replace the AGM battery every 12 to 18 months to maintain some kind of reliability, which is STUPID !!! I have no confidence that the dealership will do anything other than keep my Mav for days or weeks with no permanent solution. I’ve read horror stories on MTC regarding the same. I really love this truck and still believe it’s a great ride but, I’m just not screwing around with this idiotic battery issue. For me, it’s simply a higher than expected cost of ownership to deal with this and a trade off for loving this ride. I apologize in advance for simply ranting. I truly respect the expertise expressed throughout the MTC and I don’t want to waste anyone’s valuable time by venting.
My Lariat is not hybrid and it just went into deep sleep mode on Saturday, changed the battery which was a task to remove and replace. placed an new higher AGM everything lights up no more blue screen of save mode but it will not start. did the 5 clicks on the high beams and the three brake pedal pump and still nothin. this really frustrating.

ive tried this several times, the red batter light clicks three times and the 4th is quick, but it will not start. i hear a click like it is trying but nothing.
Do you have trickle charger? or something that shows voltage? Charge that AGM up to 12.5v or higher and then do a BMS RESET and then try to start it. Maybe that battery got discharged somehow? maybe its a bad battery? not sure

No problem! Also, make sure to plug the BMS sensor back into the negative terminal where it goes. I have forgotten to do this a couple times now when disconnecting the battery lol

sounds like a dead new battery or a connection problem at the battery to me too.
checking the voltage of it is the first thing to do.

There has been some mention posted on here about 12 volt( low voltage system) battery drain and " deep sleep" messages from Ford Pass in Mavericks, today Ford released on the Professional Technician System accessible by Ford technicians this special service message, this may be something to have your dealer check if you are experiencing the problem of no start or dead/low battery. It does not specify that the mega fuse is being " blown" or popped, from my experience as a technician with some of the other models I have seen this mega fuse actually develop a crack ( typically caused by road shock/vibration)which can intermittently allow the loss of electrical charge to the battery, I've had them where they test good with an ohm/continuity meter laying on a bench but then with a little pressure applied to each end will test open. Ford does listen and research complaints/concerns with their vehicles and typically will give us( technicians) a heads up once they find a repetitive cause. Here is the service message, hope it helps some of you!

May 4 2023 New SSM 51598 2020-2023 Escape/Corsair, 2022-2023 Maverick – FHEV/PHEV - 12V Battery Voltage Low Or Discharged With DTC U3003:62 Stored In The DC/DC
Some 2020-2023 Escape/Corsair equipped with 2.5L engine full hybrid electric vehicle (FHEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrain and 2022-2023 Maverick vehicles equipped with 2.5L engine FHEV powertrain may exhibit a condition where the 12V battery voltage is low or discharged with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3003:62 stored in the direct current/direct current converter control module (DC/DC). The vehicle may also exhibit DTC U3003:16 and/or U3000:04 stored in the DC/DC module. This may be due to an open in the 300 amp mega fuse located in the high current battery junction box (BJB). To correct this condition, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 414-05>Pinpoint Test H1 to verify the 300amp mega fuse condition, replace the fuse upon confirmation it is open. Test and recharge the 12v battery.
Thx. Funny that my battery died completely multiple times after just 14 months. My Ford dealer found nothing wrong with the battery of course. After much thought, I diagnosed the problem as follows:
1. It’s a weak 12v to begin with at 390CCA, 45Ah and 65 RC
2. As such, it doesn’t recharge quickly particularly if it’s only used sparingly.
3. Charge keeps draining cuz of telematics running 24/7.
I have removed interior fuse 11 as someone suggested and so far so good.
I called Ford and they have upgraded this battery to 470 CCA. He couldn’t find the Ah and RC values?? Can anyone with this battery, plse tell me. I will try to see if Ford will give me this upgrade at least at a discount. Will also use my Ford pts to offset this frustration. Poor design Ford engineers!
Again, if anyone has the 470 CCA battery, plse look on the battery and tell me the Ah and RC values.
Thx much,
Mike, NS

You really need to read all the threads here, I know I've seen that information on here (the forum in general) somewhere. The 470 does not seem to be the answer either. Others on here have it, it's somewhat better but, it seems that an AGM type battery of slightly larger size works best. Lots of demands here with connectivity, Ford Pass and the proximity key. The other problem is the Ford BMS (Battery Management System) not allowing a charge of more than 80 percent. Such small batteries don't stand a chance. Some folks are using Forscan and changing the charge rate to 95 percent. Ford still hasn't addressed the issue, possibly due to EPA certifications and other retesting requirements if they do.

Thx. Still learning stuff on this problem. I like the idea to change the charge rate but no idea how difficult that is to do. I’m guessing Ford wouldn’t do it as it may void the warranty. That cud also b a problem if a third party did it. I’m not yet convinced I need a big battery or AGM. I’ve turned off the draining telematics and so far, the battery is fine and I don’t miss the connectivity with Ford pass. When did we suddenly need to have an app connected to a car anyway? Pretty much a gimmick imo.
Thx

I have a '24 Lariat hybrid since Nov '23. Only 3100 miles. Keep my Fobs in Faraday pouches, all connectivity off, and fuse 11 pulled. Never set up Ford Pass. So far courtesy lights always come on and no problems that I'm aware of. Just waitin' for the day!

The Mavs (hybrid and eco) were designed with an AGM battery in mind. AGMs are needed in many of the modern vehicles...they are computers on 4 wheels that demand a lot of electricity. The flooded batteries cannot handle this demand. There are many threads that discuss these issues in this forum. You may change your mind about needing an AGM battery.

Perhaps I’m missing something but the only drain issue is when the truck is off and the telematics is running. I’ve shut that off as said. If the Mavs were designed with AGMs in mind, it makes sense then that they would’ve installed an AGM so I don’t buy that statement. It irks me to have to go out and buy a battery out of pocket for a 1 yr old truck. So, I’ve talked to Ford. They may share in the cost of an upgraded battery. I’ll use my FordPass pts that Ford gave me anyway so not as bad.
