nope, never seen that
I'm guessing there needs to be a passenger present, activated by the occupant/weight sensor in the seat.
Which is why Skeeter uses a bag of cat litter.

What I did, but not responsible if you do it. I stood a 28# bag of cat litter on the seat and used a ratchet strap under the front bottom of the seat and cranked it down until the seatbelt off turned to on. Ignition must be on. Now strap the seatbelt. Search a USB to your hearts content. Crank in small steps as it takes a few seconds for the switch. I feel ok with this as I use lane centering and ACC. I assume you all realize with a passenger you can search. May have to respond to the "Are you the passenger" query. I will be experimenting a bit more for a lower profile solution. Not going to drive 7 hours without some choices in entertainment. DO at your own RISK.
I’m confused to what this is for?

to simulate a passenger so you can search while moving
It should be mentioned, that only works with the models that have Sync3. (22/23 Lariat Lux, or 24 Lariat).
For the non-Sync 3, even with a passenger, it doesn't let you browse or make settings changes when driving.

I think another approach, more intrusive, would be to put a switch into the wiring from the sensor. I am looking for a schematic. Looking under the seat you can see a tube running from under the seat to a module. I'll post when I solve this.

Once you are connected, click on the Programming and Configuration Icon (looks like a Chip). Select the ACM module configuration (not the As Built) and then click the Play button (Run Service Procedure). It will bring up a list of values for the ACM. Select the Driver Restrictions as shown in previous posts, then there are two small tab/buttons in the lower left corner of the window (Edit Selected and Write). You want to click Edit Selected, make the change. Click the Check box, then Write. After that, you should be good to go.
For some reason I don't see the non AS BUILT module on my forscan screen, only the AS BUILT. Is there a reason for that? I have a 22 Lariat Lux (non-fx4) eco boost.

This is pretty easy to remove via forscan. If you have a lariat the setting may be in the ACM or APIM or both. the "Driver Restriction" needs to be disable

Well, I bought a year of Forscan and with the new version I see the APIM finally. I did the F150 As built mod for nav in motion. It did NOT work.
I tried some other stuff like changing the country code for it and it would not complete the write.
This is pissing me off.
Any help would be appreciated. I would gladly give anyone $1k that can fix this BS.
Not being able to search your USB music is ludicrous.
I hope Chevy comes out with a hybrid Colorado.

Check this out. This likely the change that needs to be made for lariat owners to remove this screen
