That's weird. Why would lux make a difference. I need to find someone in the area with forscan.
Lux has Sync 3, which is more advanced. Us non-Lariat Lux have a crappy system that isn't used in any other Ford vehicle in North America. It has very limited resources (memory, processing power, etc).

I pulled the plug and ordered scanner and downloaded Forscan. My wife stole the litter bag.

All the nonsense they add to these vehicles is to keep the Darwin contestants at a minimum.
More like to keep the lawsuits at a minimum. There's nothing wrong with letting stupid people kill themselves. It's only a problem when a lawyers start to get involved like the blood sucking cancer leeches from hell they are. Someone dies crashing their vehicle because they were playing with the radio at 90 mph, and some lawyer gets a vengeful boner arguing how "Well technically, the brand didn't tell the client that was unsafe, so the family thinks 50 million in compensation is owed to them for their pain and suffering".

Thankfully I know not to drink the liquid from a battery without it being in the manual. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

See, again, that's something that's never happened in real life, it just needs to be said for legality reasons. No-one has ever said "Let me drink battery acid" but someone has probably been messing with a battery, and dropped something in battery acid, causing it to splash into their mouth and make them sick. So brands need to point out that battery acid shouldn't be consumed. I can't stress enough how lawyers literally exist to find the things that brands didn't warn people about, even when they're painfully obvious, that's how they build their cases more often than not. So brands have to cross every t and for every I, and underline it twice to cover their asses.

I careless if ppl die by their own will, the main issue is when ppl starts having accidents and become a danger to others by being distracted with their toys, I admit that i freaking hate that I cannot use the keypad for selecting option 1- 9 when i call some places, but completely understand why is there, is a mega annoying but it could be a life saver.

Keep in mind, with the Sync 3 system, the fix may be different because you have an APIM module that also controls some of the settings. You might need to search some other forums (like Bronco Sport) to find discussions for Sync 3 nanny elimination.

Thanks so much for posting this fix! Definitely something that bugs me.

Forgive my ignorance, could you please advise the process for accessing this screen? Was just poking around with Forscan and didn't have any luck.

Cheers.

Thanks again!

Needed a newer version of Forscan, older version didn't have that functionality.

Cheers.

Once you are connected, click on the Programming and Configuration Icon (looks like a Chip). Select the ACM module configuration (not the As Built) and then click the Play button (Run Service Procedure). It will bring up a list of values for the ACM. Select the Driver Restrictions as shown in previous posts, then there are two small tab/buttons in the lower left corner of the window (Edit Selected and Write). You want to click Edit Selected, make the change. Click the Check box, then Write. After that, you should be good to go.

Appreciate it Bill, have done the other mods with Forscan. Needed an update for this one though.

Cheers.
