I bought the pro version of Torque. Think it was like 5 bucks. Works very well. I had a scan gauge. Worked well to but it was pricey and is a stand alone device. Good if you want it displayed all the time. Was a pain to find a good spot to put it.

I just leave this cheap OBD2 adapter plugged into the truck.

How did you get HV battery percent? Or did it just come with it?
How do you get it on the Ford Screen? Is that just cell phone mirroring? I currently have Apple, but I'd get a cheap burner phone just to run apps if there is no equivalent for iOS. Do you have any form of transmission temperature?

What's the highest and lowest you've seen for HV battery percent? What is typical? There should be PID'd for HV battery voltage and temperature. As well as traction motor and generator temperature. I could see all that on the Escape Hybrid, but those PID's don't work for the Mav.

I have a reader only. It is not programming anything. Basically an instrument like a digital volt meter.

I've seen even read-only devices do some funky stuff. One of my scantools has developed an annoying chance of bugging the CANBUS when connected to Fords and causing the instrument cluster, radio, HVAC, etc. to reboot themselves.

how did you get it to run in android auto? can you share the instructions?

Ive used torque pro for years now. was handy in my jeep wrangler days. those pentastar 3.6's run very hot (205F to 225F till fan kicks on).

Yeah that's your call, I've been using it for over 2 years. Here's the thread on XDA, though he hasn't updated the install instructions in over a year.(Rooted device Not required.)
