As of 3:00 PM today there are 167 ships at anchor in Long Beach/San Pedro to be exact. I will be happy to get mine in Jan/Feb.
I agree with you but let's keep in mind they aren't sending the Mavericks here from Mexico on a ship. The chips it needs, maybe.

Here's mine. They've probably got a team working on it or some sort of semi randomizer algorithm
Dear Future Maverick Owner:

We're excited to share some great news for all the Makers out there: The first 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid pickups will be on their way in a few short months. Additionally, the Maverick Hybrid has an impressive EPA-estimated 42 MPG in the city.1

The demand has been overwhelming for America's first standard hybrid truck. In fact, it's nearly sold out for the 2022 model year. Luckily there's already one with your name on it, and we're doing everything to build through the queue as quickly as possible. Your 2022 Maverick Hybrid pickup will be delivered next year, and rest assured that we'll continue to keep you updated.

As a special thanks for being one of our first Maverick Hybrid owners, we'll be giving you this really cool Ford FITS Accessory Kit after you take delivery of your new truck. The kit includes a storage bin, cupholder, phone cord organizer, bag hooks and multiple dividers for the underseat storage area; so that whatever you make, you can make the most of it with your Maverick pickup.

Maverick is a truly remarkable truck and we can't wait for you to drive it. We're making it just for you, so that you can Make it with Maverick.

Please stay in touch with your Ford Dealer for further information.

1Actual mileage will vary.

complete speculation on my part, but up until today hybrid orders have been very sporadic without much correlation to order date. Now it seems a lot of the June orders were the ones getting December production dates. And since hybrid production is almost full through July/August 2022. I would say rule of thumb could be june order = December production, july = January, august = March, September = April, October = May
What happened to February?

It appears that those with a Maverick already built or already scheduled got "deliveries expected to start in January", and those that are not yet scheduled got "will be delivered next year".

Bottom line is you'll get your truck when you get your truck.

If you don’t mind me asking, with who? (I am a glazier so I must ask 😂)
Window world but every window company was something similar.

why are people pissed off? Clearly states in the pre order contract that Ford cannot adhere to any time frame. Literally not like they gave you a built date when you bought it. You bought a truck that’s not even built yet, also on its first year release. I don’t understand how people are mad at all. It’s not like it’s a F150 that Ford has been selling for 50+ years.
Some people can and will feel differently than you do.

I was quite literally told when we paid for our hybrid order on August 10th that we should expect delivery in October… November at the latest.

I haven’t received a build date email, VIN, or today’s FITS consolation email.

I’m not assigning blame to the Ford Motor Company for pandemic-induced global supply chain issues that have slowed their vehicle production.

But yeah, I am disappointed by the delays and by Ford’s lack of direct communication of these updates to me. (If I weren’t actively checking MTC, I wouldn’t know jack.) So I’m resigned to having to adjust my expectations as the goal posts continue to move.

That’s just how it is.

And yet, I’m still super excited about the hybrid Maverick that I have on order, appreciate the FITS gift gesture, and hope that there is some movement and direct communication on my confirmed order soon.

Well, there is a whole lotta whining on this forum. Whine whine bitch bitch.
It's a brand new vehicle intended and ready for release this fall (which by the way goes until 12/21) for the first ones (not all of them). EPA jumped in there and delayed it a bit. So what? S**t happens.
Ford has intentionally not made further promises, because, guess what, they don't know. Too bad. If you think their email is insulting, well, you've got pretty thin skin. I'm thrilled to get it at all.
OKTB 12/8, we don't really know if they will be in the US before that, stockpiled and ready for transit to dealers. Sounds like arrival in January. OK, a month behind for a 42 mpg brand new design pickup?
Not good enough? I get that you and others will move on and maybe buy that POS destined-for-the-scrapyard Santa Cruz. Terrific. What I don't get is why don't you just move on instead of posting here? I believe you may be projecting your own all-too-serious take on this. You're right, it's just a truck.
I think I posted here for the same reason everyone else joined and posted on this forum: to talk to other people who are/were interested in a Ford Maverick. It seems like your preference would be a forum only open to people who share all of your opinions or will praise Ford no matter what?

Re-reading your response, it really seems like you didn't bother to read my original post at all. Then you posted a couple hundred words in response to someone you think shouldn't even be posting on the forum, all while accusing **me** of taking things too seriously. This is why all forums inevitably end up as protectionist echo-chambers. God forbid someone who disagrees with you be welcome.

And for the person who asked: I ordered back in June. No build date.

If you haven't received this yet -- it’s coming, it goes to dealers first. That way we can prep for the incoming calls. Hang in there!

Got mine last night..... i love the phrase "a few short months" since my truck was only ordered on July 1. XLT Hybrid in Carbonized Steele. Already removed bed liner option to speed up order, not so much.

And good luck just waltzing over to Toyota and hopping into a new truck.
My local Toyota dealer, which seems typical of most, has literally ZERO new vehicle inventory.
The same shortages that are hitting all manufacturers are not something Toyota is immune to.
Of course when they do have something available they will be sure to mark up the hell out of it -
that's the law of supply and demand. Just like the housing market, it's a seller's market right now because there's lots of buyers and precious few sellers who actually have inventory to sell.
I ordered a new BMW X1 for the wife on OCT 13 (last week) and it is currently being built in Germany. I expect we'll be driving it much sooner than the Maverick Hybrid I ordered last June. I don't mind waiting since the queue is already out the door and around the block.

No letter. Not one email since July 8th. My dealer says hybrid was ordered but I don’t think it’s a good way to do business.

Any way I can find out from Ford if my hybrid was actually pre-ordered?

Yes, call them. You will need your order number and dealer sales code, both can be found on the order form your dealer should have had you sign.

Just got my email. Nice to get news, but a free cup holder is a slap in the face. I placed my order on 8/6 and was told early Fall delivery. Now it appears to be a late winter or early spring drop. All this time they hold my deposit.
I ordered nearly TWO months before you and I have no build date either. But on a positive side for me, my dealer did not ask for a deposit.
