I ordered my Mav last June and got it in March. In January (before the Mav) arrived, I realized what you’re feeling would happen and I placed an order for a Telluride. I had to go 2 states over to find one I could order for MSRP. I still don’t have a VIN, so it feels like the Mav order all over...
We brought the Maverick up to the the NC highlands (Sapphire Valley, NC) and have been driving around on hiking and shopping adventures. I recognize that when you're coming down a mountain pass, as we were this afternoon, you'll get good MPG in any vehicle. I got 101MPG over 7 miles this morning...
You can’t be connected to two WiFi connections at the same time. Wireless CarPlay works over peer to peer Wi-Fi. You can either connect to the truck Wi-Fi and use wired CarPlay or you can use the wireless CarPlay and cellular.
I love it. The combination of moonroof and power sliding rear window means that in spring/fall I can have the perfect amount of air flow in the truck without the A/C on. I had this combo in my Ridgeline and it's been just as effective in the Maverick.
Well, I spoke too soon. Posted this earlier this morning. At lunch today I went to the UPS store and, in the parking lot, a guy on a motorcycle flagged me down. Asked questions about the Mav, said it was the first one he'd seen and "looks great!" So there you go.
I’ve been eagerly watching for this since I got my Mav last week. Alas, in Atlanta, no one cares. Haven’t noticed a single person “surprised“ to see a Mav and no one at any store or building has ever asked me about it.
Came in to look for this because it’s exactly what I experienced this week. I wasn’t so worried about the dangerous part, but the brakes going from 0% to 100% instantly at low speeds was miserable.
Got my Maverick today. Have been reading the manual for months. Tried to latch the seat today (from the passenger side) and it simply won’t. Not with any amount of slamming or working the latch back and forth a few times manually.
First problem I’ve found - the rear seat won’t latch. I pulled it forward to look at the sub and confirm that the jack was back there but now it won’t re-latch into place.
There are a ton of Mavericks on the lot here (all customer orders) that were delivered in the last few days. Hopefully that bodes well for some of you!
Yep. It's a tough balance. There's no way a family of 5 (with teens) is taking a long car trip in the Maverick though. If you want something that seats 7/8 (so 5+stuff comfortably), you aren't going to find great gas mileage.
And, I think I'm an okay Dad, but no way will I be giving my kids a...
