Hello forum members, I’m from Mexico.
First of all, sorry about my english.
My experience with my Maverick has been bad and with Ford Mexico it has been terrible.
At the end of June of last year I purchased a Maverick 2023 Lariat AWD and received it at the end of July.
It was working well for approximately 3000 km. At the end of October I detected a knocking noise during parking maneuvers and I scheduled a quote for the dealer to review my truck.
In this diagnosis they only lubricate and check the tightness of all the steering, transmission and suspension elements as a Ford recomendation.
I receive my truck and detect the noise again so I return and with only what they perceived along the way test they diagnose the peanuts or stabilizer screws.
As the parts arrived, the noise worsened and vibrations increased in the cabin, so I decided to check without disassembling if any component was loose or had abnormal play and I detected an abnormal axial movement in the CV axle
I record a video and send it to the distributor and they tell me that it is normal that we should wait for the spare parts that they already requested.
At the beginning of December, enter again to exchange peanuts and they deliver them to me.
After 2 days I hear again the noise so I take it and made a report at customer service. 15 days later they closed the report arguing that it was a design failure and the tests they had carried out had gone well.
When Ford closed the report, I went to the dealer and helped them to obtain the necessary evidence for Ford to authorize disassembling the wheel on the side where the failure was heard.
When they disassemble, they are surprised by the premature damage found and Ford request change the bearing, wheel mass, bearing housing, CV axle, among other things.
They tested my truck for 3 days and then with me. I could’nt heard the knock but slight vibrations could still be perceived in the dashboard. I accepted the truck since the vibrations were minimal and the failure could no longer be heard.
After 3 days I heard again a similar knock, but now in the central part of the front drivetrain.
I put again a new report, and then after 10 days Ford Mexico closed my report now saying that my truck its practically repared.
I have had this problem for 4 months now without a good solution and without my truck. I have already tried to return or exchange the unit with the dand no agreement was reached.
Now I am waiting for my first conciliation hearing at PROFECO.
It’s very frustating situation.
I atached the video of the axial movement in the cv axle, and the images. aditional 2 videos about a test that I made for test if the dashboard vibration its the same of the engine to know if the mounts are ok
I hope this info help someone in a similar situation to solve.
