I’m gonna assume that if you take it to Ford at an odd time as far as miles go they will probably try to talk you out of it right lol I only have 200 miles on mine but planned on doing it at 1k then at 5k etc… just preparing myself for the tech to tell me “you are doing this oil change way to early” save your money.
Excellent Plan, exactly on target. Also, be sure to use Full Synthetic not the Blend. Ford's pricing is out of line for their full synthetic oil compared to other oil brands synthetic that meet all fords oil specs. Maybe think about finding a local experienced trust worthy mechanic shop that will perform the vehicle maintenance needs and use the oil/filter brands you prefer for the long term. I understand the ford pass points thought of using them for oil changes but, for me, hold off and use them for brakes, tires, etc. Just my opinions. Now go have a great day and have fun. Life is short.

Did my first oil change last week at 1500 miles. I switched to Motorcraft Full Synthetic 5w30 and used the oem filter. I plan on doing my oil changes every 5k.

Just had first at dealer at 933 miles. I purchased this deal, every 3000 for 2 years so 8 services for $365 upfront. Can't beat it, tire rotation etc included.
I always do my own but the deal was too good to pass up.

Is that for full synthetic oil? Looks like a good deal if that’s the case

Similar to me. I drove 1,700 miles home from the dealer over about 72 hours. Did an oil change a week or so later.

That’s where ford cheated out on pricing, in reality full synthetic oil and a good tier 1 gas brand is needed for these turbos & engine’s if you want them to last, but that’s your call on what you want
I saw that coming! :D:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:😝

About 2500 miles and one year at ford dealer was first . second about 5k miles and 2 years at dealer . used fordpass points for both . have about 1 1/2 oil changes worth of fordpass points left. At least one more at dealship unless I find something else to use them on ( ford accessories ) but unlikely .

I expect my annual mileage will be ~7,500 miles. I purchased a Ford 10yr/60K mile extended service contract and 10 yr 7,500 mile/yr maintenance contract (synthetic oil) from Flood. Regardless of the cost, I like that I don't expect to worry about significant, unexpected cost issues for the life of my truck. Since I believe I've left the responsibility of maintaining my Mav to Ford, I intend to follow Ford's guidance to change oil annually or at 7,500 miles ...Which ever comes first. Am I missing something in my logic?

First change was at 3000, next will be 6000, then 10000. After that will be 5000 miles. I do it at the dealership with points. I will let a dealer take out the 13-15 screws since I have an FX4.

First change at 1K miles, will change again at 5K. Then every 5K thereafter.
