Anyone know the ATF capacity for the 2.0L EB with AWD?
If you're doing an D&R, you'll need 7 qts to cover getting it back to the proper level, should take closer to 6.

EDIT: Just FYI, since actually doing it, it takes about 4.5 qts. for the D&R, so plan accordingly.

Alright I am a believer in changing early.
All mine have been done early and often.
all mine have come out great looking.
past one I did was the rdu after doing the rest and seeing they were in good shape I ran this to 50k. Fluid still looks great which I did not expect. Especially with as much off roading in the sand and snow as I do. The rdu really gets some stress. I’ve got the warning light that things got hot and disabled the awd more than 25 times so I thought it would be shot. Well turns out it was ok.
Still change early is better than late.

Thanks for Intel. Did you Dealer catch this or did you think to check yourself? Much appreciated. MY XLT lux build hybrid should arrive in June.
I read that some were finding ptu underfilled and took it upon my self to check the tranny, ptu and rdu myself. Dealer kind of giving me a barely Luke warm feeling now. I’m not confident. Apparently they don’t do oil analysis, they just look at the oil and for any metal debris and chase faults. I haven’t seen anywhere that Ford Admits to underfilling at the factory. I feel like I have to prove to them that it s has been comprised through my own oil analysis which I will be doing this week after another ~6000 miles of almost exclusive towing. At least I’ll establish a baseline with this oil report. They “require an actual failure”. It is what it is. I’ll be carefully documenting everything this time.

I recall on the explorer form also which I'm a member of that a lot of the ptus for underfilled from the factory. Those were known for failing early, another reason I wouldn't have an all-wheel drive vehicle besides not needing it.

Not sure what point the OP is making. Seems to be saying that Ford is underfilling engine oil and/or transmission fluid. Why would Ford do that? I seriously doubt that engine oil is added manually at the factory. Just as beer isn't manually added to the bottle at the brewery (just manually emptied). I'm confused.
I don’t think they’re doing it on purpose. Prob done manually. Too quickly it seems. Perhaps they come from the component manufacturer filled.

Another instance of under filled PTU, with some break-in wear evident at just 1100 miles.

10 oz came out. About 18oz RedLine 75W-85 went back in.
