We live in Texas where it does not snow. But on our first trip we were up to Canada and down through the states in snow storms. The worse was a blizzard hitting Tennessee where they do not have the snow plows to handle it. Our AWD XLT did great through it all.
I was more concerned about the...
What will be hurt by overfilling. Looking at the OP's diagram it is number 8: fuel tank pressure control [Valve] during operation. They are generally not designed for liquids and will not last long if they see liquids often.
On previous cars I thought the same as the OP that it wont harm...
I went with stock. I know boring but it is paid for, it has the MAF sensor in the right spot to determine air flow, filters out dirt really well, and keeps the Ford warranty folks happy.
The dealer installed option list is why I traveled from Texas to Iowa to buy both my F150 and my Maverick from Granger Ford. I have heard of too many people getting hit with $3-6K in extras that they dont want after waiting for months for their truck to arrive. Then you are either stuck or you...
That's might be right and most theft deterrents are for the casual or not so sophisticated thief or for kids being annoying. But a seasoned pro of a thief wont mess around with just a tailgate when it would take the same level of effort for them to take the whole truck. So I am happy with my...
I am glad it is included. Tailgates are designed to be easily removed. It is also nice to lock your tailgate even without a cover to keep it from being stolen.
My wife was out getting groceries and said that a popup came on telling her she is now limited to 80 mph. I believe it was the Ford MyKey system turned on and decided to limit her driving. It was easy enough to delete the MyKey in the settings. But it was a bit disturbing that it decided to turn...
I went with the FX4 and not the Tremor because the Tremor is a little bit taller. My wife is short and she wanted the shorter truck bed to be able to reach in it better.
IF you look at it from the financing bank's point of view. I would guess that they look at putting the down payment on a credit card as if that person could not afford the down payment. If I was making someone a loan I would not want that person to use a credit card for the down payment because...
Please note that all manufacturers of cars these days have more and more complaints about windshields cracking easier than they used to. This is not a Ford problem but an industry wide problem.
You got the base model which usually has less sound deadening. My XLT is not excessively noisy at speeds of 65+. I am sure the Lariat would be even better.
I checked the cost of the various deductibles and it became obvious which way for me to go. When I went from $250 to $500 I saved $250/yr. If you can save the difference in the deductible every year it will certainly pay in the long run to raise the deductible. When I went to a $2,000 deductible...
You are looking at an upside of $1.5K on a $32K investment with an unknown downside. So that is a 4.7% return on your money If all goes well and your assumptions are correct and if they are not correct then it could be a 10-20% hit. This sounds like a high risk low reward investment. I would pass.
OP After you go back to JL again you may want to check and make sure they put the skid plate back on. I have also heard too many stories about fast lube places leaving them off.
I had a long drive home and drove it varying the RPMS every so often on long open stretches of highway mixed with city driving and driving to and through Canada for the first couple of days and then I was over the 1,000 mile mark and was done with the break-in period.
