I see this recall in Fordpass app. I will go by some time this week and see if I can make an appointment. I really don't want to take it in.

It's not just brightness of the gauges, the notice also says telltales may fail to illuminate. That could be a Check Engine light, for example. This might be a good one to have done.

More than that. The entire backlighting can fail to illuminate.

This is a pretty important one to address. Should this bug crop up, your IPC will look something like this. Won't be able to read your speedometer, et al...

Had my 2023 XLT instrument cluster go out on me. The fuse was blown, but the real question was why. 6,000 miles. The dealer had to replace the IPC cluster. Ford had a recall last yr w IpC on Escapes. This cld be a official recall on the Maverick very soon.

Don’t know why Ford sends out recall notices as my dealer hasn’t contacted me about performing the fix on my Maverick.

I wonder if this recall will improve the brightness of the infotainment touch screen.... My 2023 XLT falls under the recall. I have tried adjusting the brightness of the screen with the dash buttons along with the touch screen settings multiple times. Doesn't seem to get any brighter after 50%.
I have more concerns about the brightness of the operator with my truck LOL

I used to be a programmer until mid 80's. Could make em really him. Back then processors on mainframes were many times slower than your cell phone is today. I specialized in data compression to save space and rewrote cobol assembled code into optimized assembler code to speed up execution times. I remember in 1972 a 16k memory chip was low bid at $211k. I suspect that this could be a program issue like the power from the DcDc converter not being increased when needed. Would be easy to overlook increasing voltage to cover needs. I haven't used my hybrid maverick much in last six or eight days so I went and put it into ready and watched my PowerPoint monitor. It was 68°F and AC came on as cabin with all windows with IR ceramic tint was 76 in direct sun with AC set to 72. DcDc was pushing 14.8 volts after 3 minutes dcdc voltage started dropping 0.1v every minute or two. After 12 minutes was down to 14.1v. in short ever since I had the reprogram recalls 23E07 & 23E09 done my DcDc voltage varies over a greater range up to 15.6v which was 0.2v higher than I had seen before. Still have original 12v OEM. Still have occasional dark screen. Am not sure but suspect the passenger door and rear glass tint may affect the day/night sensor it does eliminate 99% of infrared. Think next time screen darkens I will roll all windows down and see if screen brightens???
Exactly what I thought

Ghost mode! Just raises the difficulty of driving a tad to make you an expert driver.

Mobile service came to my work today and completed this recall
Took less than half hour.
Whatever was done turned back on the seat belt warning chime, will need to turn it off again
