Recall #24C01 - Instrument Panel Cluster IPC Illumination - 2/26/2024

Today, Monday, I stopped by the Ford Garage to see about my newest Recall for my '22' Hybrid Maverick.
Instrument Cluster*****
They need to pull the old one out, then get the new one from Ford, it's about keeping the milage the same.
They need the vehicle for 7-10 days.
Silly me. I just got my Extended Warranty from Granger, GREAT DEAL, last week but did not get rental car!
I am hoping for an attachment.

I have a 22 Hybrid also but I thought the recall was for a software update. Why do they need to replace the instrument cluster?

It would be interesting for you to take a picture of the functioning dashboard before and after the replacement to see if anything is added or lost with the new one.

FSA 24C01? That recall??

24C01 is programming only. "Update Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) software". It pays .7 hours. No parts involved.


There was an instrument cluster replacement recall (23C25), but that only involved Escape and Super Duty.

I am going back to the shop on Thursday for Inspection and get the SUMMER TIRES.

Yeah, I think someone at the dealership is confused about a different IPC recall....

My 22 Maverick has 24C01 as well. I work at a dealership. I read through the dealer bulletin and repair instructions. This one is reprogramming only.

It is a compliance recall. Unless you're having issues with warning lights on IPC, you might as well just get the reprogramming done when is in for some other service/maintenance.

Hello all,

Got a new recall notice today for an Instrument Panel Illumination recall.
Says the fix is a software patch.

Have not got it, but never noticed any issues with dashboard lights.

I have a '22 XL Hybrid.
Not sure if specific to certain years or motors.

Just a heads up if anyone is getting service soon; might want to add this one in.

This happened to me a month ago. ( Before the recall) They had to replace the cluster. Not a software update. I have a cactus 2023 Maverick

Yes, Aaron Ford in Poway CA offered to do two previous updates on my son's and my Mav at the same time since he lives with me and they're the dealer that he bought his truck from...I was surprised that they offered to do mine too when I didn't buy mine from them. They're about 7 ~ 8 miles from me, about a 18 min drive...gonna have this mobile update done with them.
