Recall #24C01 - Instrument Panel Cluster IPC Illumination - 2/26/2024

Hello all,

Got a new recall notice today for an Instrument Panel Illumination recall.
Says the fix is a software patch.

Have not got it, but never noticed any issues with dashboard lights.

I have a '22 XL Hybrid.
Not sure if specific to certain years or motors.

Just a heads up if anyone is getting service soon; might want to add this one in.

2023 xlt hybrid same recall notice.

Have had the issue happen once about a month after I got the truck, fixed itself later that day and hasn't happened again.

I had it happen once, and I pulled a fuse based on this forum, and the plugged back in. Worked after that and has not happened again since.

I wonder if this recall will improve the brightness of the infotainment touch screen.... My 2023 XLT falls under the recall. I have tried adjusting the brightness of the screen with the dash buttons along with the touch screen settings multiple times. Doesn't seem to get any brighter after 50%.

Nothing showing up for me. 23 Lariat EB. Instrument cluster is different than the XLT, though.

Got the same email notice from Carfax and its now showing up in my recall list on Ford's site along with the turn signal recall.

That interests me. A few weeks ago my infotainement screen went unreadably dim. Fixed itself next startup. I had thrown a big hat on the dashboard, and I wondered if maybe I was covering up some kind of ambient light sensor or something (don't even know if there is one).

There is at the front center of the dashboard.

I swapped out my 23 XLT cluster with a 22 XLT FX4 cluster. Wish me luck when I go in for my next oil change. lol

I just checked and I have that recall showing! So total I have 6 recalls on my 22 with 4 open ones.
