Just curious if anyone had a issue with the instrument cluster. If so what happens to it. I am like others if not broken don't fix it. Obviously this is before the recall is performed. Would like to know what to expect with the dash cluster failure when it happens. I would imagine you can still drive the vehicle. I don't want to have the recall done unless it I have to. Also has anyone else's phone not been recognized on their stereo? I noticed today my screen said connect a phone. It always said Moto G7. I did not remove it. I actually thought I left it in my house. No it was in the truck. Any explanation would be appreciated. Why this happens and how to get my phone recognized again. I have a 2023 xlt. Thank you in advance.

The warning indicators or gauge backlighting may fail to illuminate. The latter makes it nearly impossible to read the speedometer, for instance.

Thanks. I am worried about having the recall performed. Owners of the hybrid had issues of truck dying out after getting the recall update. If my cluster messes up then I will do the recall. By the way where did you get the red and black Ford oval for your grill. I never see one specific for the Maverick.

Decal overlay through eBay, although it appears the seller no longer carries them. Similar offerings on Etsy are available.

The issue has been mostly on 2022 models who have gotten the PCM update. I have a 2023 XLT, I got the tailight and cluster thing done. No problems have come up.

Thanks though I may wait for now. I thought I read some with the 2023 MY had issues after recall updates. I know people with 2023 said they got hyper flash of their LED bulbs after the signal update. I can check my flashers with the 4 ways every month myself. How often do signals burn out. Especially LED's.

...how to get my phone recognized again...
Firstly, restart the Infotainment system in the truck and restart your phone. To restart the Infotainment system, hold down the VOL/Power button + the skip FWD button simultaneously for about 10 seconds or so. When the FORD splash screen appears on the screen, you can release the buttons. Hopefully, you know how to restart your phone. ;)

If no joy after the above procedure, remove your phone in the list of bluetooth devices in the Infotainment system settings. Do the same, in the bluetooth settings in your phone.

A lot of LEDs are supposed to last 10s of thousands of hours. The reality is, many fail within a much shorter time frame - especially cheap chinese brands with little quality control.

I've had some incandescent lamps on vehicles last over 20 years. So, for vehicle lamps, I always go by: if it ain't broke.....

FYI, I have a Moto G Power and it doesn't always connect reliably via Bluetooth either. I want to blame the truck, but this phone doesn't always connect to my home WiFi like it should either. So... you're not alone. The annoying thing is that after-sales support on bugs like this is never a priority for ANY manufacturer...

Thanks for your input. This was the first time it ever happened. I only put 2,360 miles on my truck since 10/14/23.

I have the same Moto G Power and if using BT, it will drop calls. I have found that using the USB cable connected through Android Auto will eliminate this issue. I did a simple mod to plug the phone in to the orange storage area just beneath the the cigarette lighter outlet. It work very well for me. Please know that your phone must be unlock when you plug it in for it to connect to Android Auto (it may take about 3-5 seconds and my ask for permission to connect).

I used a trim tool to pull the trim piece where the cigarette light and USB sockets are mounted and used a small file to on the left side to make a small grove so the USB cable would not get pinched. I ran the other end of the cable to the back edge of that mounting trim piece (there is a lot of room in there where you can leave any extra length of cable you don't need). Then ran it down under the orange tray's center raised area and the cut a slot just big enough to slip other end of the USB cable though and where it would come out just enough to plug into the phone. I did have to place a bit of extra silicone glue under the back side of the orange tray so to create a solid mount for the USB plug.

The phone now sits snugly under the cigarette plug so the phone does not move out of place when driving. After taking the phone out a number of times the orange tray will stay in place.

Cool mod. My issue is my info center used to show my phone was paired to the truck. Thursday the screen showed no phone connected. I thought I forgot my phone at the house. This message is like I never connected my phone to the truck. My phone calls used to connect through the truck stereo. Who knows now. I have not gotten a call the last time I used my truck. Weather has been crap here in Pa. so the truck is in my carport. I guess I will have to pair my phone again. My salesman did it the first time since I am no tech wizard. May have to visit the dealer again. Not sure why my truck removed my phone. Earlier this week my Ford pass app said I should drive my truck to charge the battery. Before my dash and overhead lights did not work till I turned on the truck. The phone still was recognized then.
