I love mine, 2023 Lariat hybrid, 1200 miles, no issues. Not noisy on dirt roads, handles great, no complaints. Honestly, I cannot think of anything I don’t like about it ❤

I live in SC so mileage is mid 40s in warm months and 40 in cold months.

2023 XLT hybrid with 6500 miles:
1) turn-signal recall (reprogrammed in my driveway).
2) Weatherstripping on my Ford hard tonneau is coming loose
3) Android Auto is sometimes slow to wake up upon vehicle start-up.
4) The "chimes" sometimes have a hard time deciding which one should ring depending on the situation (door open, key in ignition, vehicle left running when driver's door is opened).

The "recall" was so inconsequential that I'm embarrassed to list it; the rest I can live with until the truck's first oil change.

The truck drives "heavy" and low compared to my Ranger. I actually like the feel.
Babysitting the throttle even downhill is an adjustment. It helps in stop-and-go though.

The brakes are more sensitive than I am used to.
I'm able to stop smooth now, high in pedal travel where the feel is loose. It stops for you if you let it, don't push down extra like we've done for decades.

2022 XL eco-boost. Vijay after I picked it up the airbag recall was announced and just yesterday had the tail light recall reprogrammed. Other than that I’m 100% happy with the truck no issues it does what I needed to do and gets good fuel economy to boot.

F.O.R.D don't know squat about Hybird technology - you want a hybird get a toyota - stick with the ecoboost
I definitely agree with this statement as the vast majority of problems are the hybrid owners… the Toyota Prius hybrid system has been vetted for something like 20 years years and works nearly flawlessly…

23 Lariat hybrid with all the bells and whistles here...
no problems so far.
Had the recalls done in my driveway two days ago.
I love that it drives like a car and the hybrid has low end torque on the highway. No shifting, it just goes. (y)
Only 5k miles, but I'm betting it will be good for a long while.

Had my 23 Maverick hybrid for over 6 months, 8,800 miles. The cab has plenty of room in the front seat. Very comfortable to drive, good acceleration, and handles well. Yes, the bed is smaller than most trucks but handles all I need to haul.

This is my first hybrid so I’m still learning. Normal mileage (city and interstate mix) is always above 42.5 mpg (I have a lead foot). My best mileage was 48.5 mpg. The worst mileage was on a trip during break in, driving 75 on I-35 in a strong headwind, the mileage was 32.5 mpg.

Yes, I’m very pleased with my truck and would buy again.

My only complaint – I waited 6 months for Ford to accept my order and another 9 months plus for the truck to be delivered. Ford needs another Maverick plant!

Hello,
Been lurking this forum since finding out and ordering a Maverick hybrid.
Would like to ease nerves and see who has a hybrid that has little to no problems. I placed an order recently and hesitant on hybrid.
But at the same time it fits all the marks in what I need in a vehicle
-gas efficient( I drive over 40miles a day)
-cargo space(bed to hold oversized items)
-passenger seats(family)
-durable?(cv axles big issue?)
Primarily used as a work vehicle, carrying tools as well, current vehicle gets crammed very fast. Anyways Thanks. And hope to join the club soon.
Picked up my 2023 XL Hybrid in this past May. Total base, model. Only option is the trailer hitch receiver. $22,800 just under $25k out the door with taxes and title. I have 22,000 on the odometer so far and zero issues. Before the weather got cold I was regularly getting 48-50 mpg. With the cold weather I am getting 40-42. Absolutely love it. Bought it as a work vehicle and it has become my daily driver. Just drove back from a ski trip 3 1/2 hours with 2 of my sons in the back seat who are both 6’2”. They were comfortable. Squeezing a 3rd adult back there would not have been fun for a long drive. I could see 3 children back there being being fine however. The bed is big enough for a lot of things and when needed for work I rent a U-Haul trailer for $25 a day. It pulls the trailer and load just fine. I had planned to buy a 2024 but the price increase kept me away. I will wait and pay the extra money if they come out with an AWD Hybrid. AWD Hybrid is the one thing in my opinion that would make it the perfect vehicle. Fit and finish is good. Mechanically it has been solid so far. It rides and handles well. Does it compare to my E90? No absolutley not. But in that price range $20-$30 k I would say it’s got to be top of the class. Will definatley buy again if the come out with an AWD hybrid. My hope is to drive this one over 200k. Time will tell.

Everyone’s input is great.
I’ve considered the ecoboost, but if I’m going fwd feel like I might as well go hybrid you know. But I get where you’re coming from.
These responses are fantastic, and even better people with over or close to 10k miles with no major issues. I hope I don’t have to wait that long, I’m patient at least so if I do so be it.

I’ve enjoyed my eco fX4 thus far. I’ve put 14,000 miles on it and it’s been great outside of the Bluetooth/carplay confusion, which I’ve basically fixed by disconnecting Bluetooth. So rocking and rolling!

This is why I bought my 22 Maverick Hybrid a little over 2 years ago: I'm in my mid 70's and have moved into the city, only 2 in family now (back seat belongs to my dog), I don' do snow if I can help it, I don't tow my 2015 Mustang LE (I drive it) and only haul small stuff. The Maverick will do what I need now plus more than double my gas mileage.

The Maverick has worked out great for me, yes I have had 5 re-calls and 2 TSB 's taken care of by my dealer, however I have not had any mechanical issues and the vehicle has not let me down. I drive the way I have always driven (I don't use ECO mode except when on a long road trip)and I get about 42-44 MPG in the city during the summer and 38-40 during the Winter. I have put a little over 16,000 miles on it. It has meet my expectations.

2023 XLT Hybrid, non-Lux package picked up Jan 2023. 10,500 miles and no mechanical issues.

Easy 46-49 mpg commuting in Dallas traffic (calculated).

Brakes had a "different" feel at very low speeds but nothing like the grabby brakes issue many descibed here. Also had an occasional shake when transitioning from ICE to electric mode. Both symptoms disappeared after recalls completed last December and did not come back.

Dashboard and door panels rattle depending on temperature (apparently). Screen froze twice when rear camera was on. Android Auto sometimes slow to respond.

No other issues to report. Very good experience so far.
