A canbus ready bulb has a resistor to mimic the expected current draw of a standard bulb it is possible for the resistor to be or become burned out or degrade. If it becomes too hot and the draw changes to outside of range expected by the canbus. Yes it could be something wrong or unusual with your update by Ford but if it works with standard incandescent bulbs it is not Fords fault it is operating as designed. You might need to check the draw on the led bulbs and verify that they are operating as designed as well as within the expected range. I am not trying to be difficult and give Ford an "OUT". Maybe vendor will send you a replacement set or single bulb? There are a lot of maybes. I do not know how many chips are in a maverick but from what I have read most new vehicle of any kind have between 3,000-5,000. The system in my hybrid lariat loaded operates quicker than my XLT lux (one give away is when I push the mode select button on lariat it will "see" three quicker pushes on lariat than on the XLT. So lariat appears to have faster processor but could be just a difference in code though not as likely). I don't know to what resolution the data on the canbus can be viewed with forscan??? Maybe you could compare how the left and right bulbs differ. Have you tried switching the led bulbs from side to side? Might be a clue? It's possible some of the trucks got wired one way on passenger side differently than others and the turn signal update fixing the perceived programming error of reading the draw caused the hyper flashing from some trucks to be fixed and the ones which were wiring to now experience it. WHO KNOWS???It is both sides, and we did reseat the bulbs.....if we replaced both LEDs on one side of the rear with incandescent bulbs, the problem went away. IT's definitely tied tot the software upgrade. We specifically spent extra to buy the LEDs that were "Canbus Ready", so we wouldn't have this problem, then Ford "fixes" the truck! So sick of FORD, I will likely NEVER buy another Ford again! Just my personal thought....
